How does immigration relate to an article or an amendment.... The article I was looking at is:

Are talking as far as the Constitution? Article I, Section 8 gives Congress the power to "To establish an uniform Rule of Naturalization".

Article I, Section 9 States: "Section 9. The Migration or Importation of such Persons as any of the States now existing shall think proper to admit, shall not be prohibited by the Congress prior to the Year one thousand eight hundred and eight, but a Tax or duty may be imposed on such Importation, not exceeding ten dollars for each Person".

This section mainly applied to the slaves, and is basically obsolete, but does set precedence for immigration fees.

Its quite simple, the American citizens do not want illegals to have a direct path to citizenship. What this means is that Americans want the illegals to go back were they came from and apply the correct legal way. The Republicans aren't that much different from the Amnesty loving Democrats. They both suck! What we need is a candidate will to stand up and say....What part of illegal don't you understand!
