if serious yes...

We are not talking things like a one off shoplifting or getting drunk and sick...

serious often means serious bullying and violence to others, even killing people unprovoked usually for fun or cuasing deliberate and prolonged suffereing so yes they should get considerably more then shamed

You saw two boys about 11 or 12 at midnight... and what was the crime that they committed?

I agree that they should not be out that late at night, that is true. Kids shouldn't be wandering out in the streets.

As for the serious crimes that kids commit, you are right, depending on the crime, they shouldn't be "hidden". When I watch the news on tv and they blur out faces of those kids, I wonder why they should be protected.

It's b/c they are minors, and unfortunately, minors have rights.

it seems that in some areas of every town you have the street wanderers. i think the cops should be doing more to get this young kids off the street. they are planning drive bys and drug deals that late. no good can come from it

we have a case here where i live 5 teenage boys went a robbed someplace.

these teens have now cost their families their homes. they lived in the housing authoritys apartments. the lease stated no one in the home on the lease can commit any crime these boys did and are facing eviction. the parents are being stupid and saying they were just kids having fun.

fun robbing someone at 3 am is fun the 5 mothers all single had 25 kids among them not counting the 5 teens. these teens also had cocaine and weed on them and two had heroin in their systems these boys were 12-16 all being charged as adults. one mother said she cant control what goes on at her house when shes sleep in her bed

so yes parents and the kids need to be punished and made a spectacle out of

Depends on how serious the crime. I dont believe they ever really understand the full consequense until after it has happened and should their crime be so awful that the general community could become hateful then I think it's best their identity be kept private, When they mature and realise the full consequense of their actions (which I'm sure the effects of the crime would have opened their eyes a little also) How are they to get on with their lives with community hatrid?

Simple answer is, do you think your child could be held fully accountable for their actions at such a young age, and would you want your entire community holding it against him/her and your family?

what are you talking about? they were out late? Some kids are more mature than others, should they be named and shamed because they have a late curfew? I don't get it... I have neighbors that are teenage boys they are really good kids I don't even know what this question is about, why don't you explain so we can answer this better. Were those boys holding up the gas station at midnight? is that it.

Name and shame and they will come out of prison in a body bag.
