No.

The Catholic Church officially teaches:

When she delves into her own mystery, the Church, the People of God in the New Covenant, discovers her link with the Jewish People, "the first to hear the Word of God.

The Jewish faith, unlike other non-Christian religions, is already a response to God's revelation in the Old Covenant.

To the Jews "belong the sonship, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the worship, and the promises; to them belong the patriarchs, and of their race, according to the flesh, is the Christ"; "for the gifts and the call of God are irrevocable."

Neither all Jews indiscriminately at that time, nor Jews today, can be charged with the crimes committed during the Passion of Jesus Christ. The Jews should not be spoken of as rejected or accursed as if this followed from Holy Scripture.

With love in Christ.

In times past, there have always been conflict between different religious, races, skin colour, nationalities, etc. Post Vatican II (1965) the Catholic Church has clearly expressed it's relationship with the Jews. The Jews are often called our elder brothers in the faith.

"...Only the Catholic Church stood squarely across the path of Hitler's campaign for suppressing the truth. I never had any special interest in the Church before, but now I feel a great affection and admiration because the Church alone has had the courage and persistence to stand for intellectual truth and moral freedom. I am forced thus to confess that what I once despised, I now praise unreservedly." - Albert Einstein, quoted in Time Magazine (1940)

I dont feel they do. Roman catholics believe the son of god was Jesus who will come down and bring them into Heaven when the world is ending. The Jews are still waiting for their savior. We know Jesus existed, some believe he was the son of god, others do not. As far as resentment, I think there are some people who are, of course, prejudice against others. But for the most part, I dont think there is resentment.

Why only Roman Catholics? Just Christians? And why even put the groups together?

People feel differently about other religions.

I'm not sure why you picked Catholics... since this is probably an issue in all Christian denominations.

Hopefully, all the denominations are beginning to remember that Jesus himself IS Jewish and to my knowledge never converted to Christianity! Much of the "Christianity" we see these days comes from Paul... and a book called Hebrews.

The whole thing is really a GIANT PUZZLE... and in order to sort the whole thing out I would recommend that you read this free resource... Gospel Enigma. It is the first book on the list at New Free Books.

I think that will unscramble all the confusion on this subject.

The Roman Catholic Church has wanted the Jews real estate (Israel) ever since they failed to take it in the Crusades. That's why throughout history they've hated the Jews.
