In about 6 weeks I'm going to begin a cooking class for underprivileged kids and adults. I've already got use of a kitchen facility with 12 ovens and stoves and most of the utensils I need (but not all).

However, since the people I'll be teaching (my church is paying for all the ingredients, electric bill, etc.) can't really afford much at all in the way of garments to protect their clothes, I'm trying to find a company that would be willing to donate about 20 full-length kitchen aprons. I don't care if the aprons are plain or if they are full of advertisements. I just need something to help protect my 'cooks.'

Any suggestions as to what companies I could contact and who I'd contact at the company?

Thanks!

A couple of ideas for you....
1.You might check with the high school in your area...sometimes they have apron....perhaps they would loan you their extras...
2..maybe the church ladies could sew some(get material at thrift stores buy one pattern, they are very simple to make)
3.Maybe thrift stores would donate them to you
4.call one of the restaurant supply's in town

This may not be just what you want but for the children ask your church members to donate their used men's cotton shirts. Cut off sleeves and button them on the children backwards. This has worked for years as children's aprons and will for years to come if people will not mind using them. They are easy to wash and store.

Good luck with your project and may the Lord bless you and your work.
