Many Scriptures, Many Saints talk differently and sometimes even contradicts a lot. Things are so complicated that even if God decide to come down upon this Earth and say I am God, people shall start arguing, How can you be God? Such and Such Scripture written in some ancient language by some ancient man for some ancient situations say that God can be only like this way, Somewhere in the Sky for example. Since God is restricted by that text to be there in that sky it can not come down and if God decide to come down, that can not be said to be God. These are some sample arguments.

So the first question should be how the God can be identified with? What are Its attributes? What is God and what not is God? What are the Means and Test Conditions for Knowing God? Are these conflicting scriptures are of some substance or not?

The people who can be called intellectuals or pandits argue very much. But ultimately people are pulled towards Godhood because of some kind of Experiences. If spoken plainly I think in matters of Faith experiences are the guidelines. One great question raised by many is that how can we say for sure that whether this so called Omni Potent God exist or not? There are some counter arguments also regarding this question. For example, Can you say for certain, the Omnipotent God do not exist at all..?

The lord does not have a physical form...If we were to recognise him in a physical form, it would be contingent on what form he wishes to manifest in. Moreover we can only bond with and connect to God on a spiritual level....far away from physical matter. If we chose to recognise God in a phyical form, it would vary....A candle, a light, a huge man, a universal cosmic system etc etc etc.

It is explained in the Vedic Literature, witch is the original How too" books given by God Himself at the time of Creation. If one reads this literature in a pure unbroken chain of disciplic succession (as Krishna (God) said) then you will get the pure unadulterated Absolute Truth. Bhaktivedanta Prabhupada is of that pure lineage. He translated the Bhagavad Gita As it is (Unadulterated) and Lord Krishna (who is God Himself Spoke the Gita) (Song of God) He said I am the source of everything emanates from Me, just as pearls are strung on a thread." You can either accept or not. But Krishna Proves Himself in The Get if one will only take the time to read it. But the problem is false ego, thinking one knows better. Krishna explains all paths in the Gita and what is recommended by Him in this age. I fully accept Lord Sri Krishna as the Supreme Personality in full form; Krishna says "Fools deride Me when I appear in Human form." He says that that form is complete and pure and transcendental. It is not made of any material elements and any part of that transcendental body can do the part of the other. He can expand Himself unlimitedly and each expansion is complete. He does not need us to make Him complete. Though He enjoys loving relationships with us. That is our purpose though we have free will to engage with Him or not. Otherwise we have to serve His material energy Maya (illusion). Krishna is God and Rama, Vishnu, Nrishmha, Gauranga, etc. are his expansions. We have to read the authorized scriptures to know in full. There is not enough space to explain all here. If one claims to be God and does not show His universal form or does not show the markings on His lotus hands and feet and display His 6 transcendental opulence’s then He is not God.

I don't think I would, but I would recognize His Spirit and thus know Him as my Lord and Savior! That of course is only if I miss the whole returning in Glory and Riding on the cloud thing! Won't THAT just be brilliant!

It is said that in Para-Bhakti (supreme surrender) you can force God to assume any "Form" and "Name". It's like a mother (God), who tries to make her child (devotee) happy by making funny faces and gestures!

But we should understand that pure consciousness is different from matter, which is made of "Forms" and "Name". Vivekananda said "A fish will always think her God as Fish"!

He has a gaping hole on his side by his right side rib cage. Jesus loves to invite people to thrust their hand in that hole to believe! Saint Thomas did!
