All yesterday he was running in his wheel and climbing up the side of his cage. When I woke up today, he was in his fod dish. I thought he was dead because he wasn't moving and felt cold but he walked really slowly across my hand. I think he's sick. What should I do? I've only had him for about 2 weeks and he is still really small.

Does he have plenty of food and water? You could try putting him on a warm heating pad to keep him warm? You could take him to the vet or call the store where you bought him and ask them...

My hamster did that once......Seems like he was eating.......and he was so tiny...He fell asleep in his bowl. He food felt good and comfy. So, he stayed there. Your little guy is probably fine. I wouldn't worry long as he's fine otherwise. If he continues to do this, maybe call the place you got him from. See what they think...maybe get a new one in exchange. They are refundable up to point if you got him from the pet store. I have returned fish, within two weeks which died and got replacements. I'm sure you can do the same. Good luck, and I DO hope he is fine.

Is your cage big enough to keep
a small mayo jar in?
He might sleep inside it to stay warm.
Put alittle of his bedding in it.
I used to keep a towel over the part
of the cage they couldn't reach, for warmth.

ANNA TO THE RESCUE!!!

what i should do is take him to the vets and see what is wrong with him.
if they cantfigure out whats wrong with him,
give him lots of food warmth and shelter, and give him vitimans in his water.
dont disturb until you see him brightening up.
but dont be too sure tht he is going to survive because mice, wild mice and domestic fancy mice are prone to random deaths poor little things.
These things happen.
