The stone is the return of Christ to set up God's Kingdom. Has not happened yet.

The legs of iron represent the holy Roman Empire, eastern & western, the toes of mixed clay and iron represent the revival of that empire which is currently in progress, it will be partly gentile and partly Israelite.

I thought King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon invaded Egypt controlled Israel and slaughter all that stood in his way. Kings 11 24 and 25 showed what this King did to Jerusalem by his high Chief in arms Nebusaradan, who then carted off what was left of the inhabitants back to Babylon.

Then came the Sea People who took over the lands unto Egypt and on to the North of Mesopotamian, thus plundering and raping the land of its value.

Then again the Egyptians retook the lands only to be followed by the Greeks Alexandria the Great. We then see the Romans controlling for 350 years who were followed by the Moors and the Crusaders only to be defeated again by the Turks who held it until the First World War. The lands were divided by France and England who held it in prosperity until the Second World War and the United Nations divided up the land to what it is now.

Having written the above where Daniel is concerned he joined forces with King Nebuchadnezzar and became his governor of the land only to be killed by this King later on.

So much for Daniel's dreams interpretations.

The final stages of the statue (legs, feet, and toes) represent the empires of Greece and Rome, which took over the (then known) world, but were politically unstable and difficult to rule. These empires ruled over so many different cultures and languages that true unity was impossible. It brought strife and cultural oppression and civil unrest to various regions (the Maccabean Revolt is one good example of this).

The stone that brings the statue down represents the kingdom of Heaven, personified in Christ, who came during the reign of the Roman emperors Augustus and Tiberius. As Christianity spread, it embraced and included all of the beforementioned cultures and languages and peoples, and went beyond that to other lands.
