Not sure where you live, but I pesonally go to the Dominicans.
My hair is long, healthy, and strong. The cost here in Atlanta is all of $25 and $35 with deep condition. I am African American with the kinkiest hair ever and perm my hair twice a year and that is in the summer time, because I sweat. Other then that, I do not put it in my hair. People assume my hair is a wig or weave, because of how healthy and long it is. It is the products they use along with roller sets and a good blow dryer. If you so happen to not have Dominicans in your area, then take the following tips. Go in your bathroom and throw away ALL the product you been using in the garbage. Get on the computer and find out the best product out there such as Nexus, Aveda and so on. It might be expensive product but well worth it. I do not care how much you continue to straighten your hair or even curl it, it would not become how you want it until your hair becomes healthy. That starts with the products that you are using in your hair. Which is why I go to the Dominicans (the best overseas product). When you are at home and doing nothing deep condition your hair. If you do not have a hair dryer just put conditioner in your hair and place a plastic cap on top and allow it to sit in your hair for at least 2 hours. This build strength in your hair and soften it up from it's kinkienst. Wash out and if you have time give yourself a hot oil treatment. It is warmed up olive oil and place it on all your scalp(not hair), same with plastic cap then wash out. Allow your hair to air dry a little with a leave in conditioner b4 blow drying it, this will cause less damge to your hair. Then when flat ironing your hair take little sections and straighten from the root to the end. When asleep at night place a silk scarf or silk cap on hair to keep the hair soft and from drying out. Hope this info help and Have fun when doing it. The key is protecting your hair from the harsh blow drying, flat ironing, curling, and the crazy weather . CONDITION and CONDITION to protect the hair and then all else will fall in place. GOOD LUCK
