I believe in both evolution and creationism. I believe that Genesis is a very simplified fairytale-like version of evolution. It was easier for people to understand. Science and education wasn't widely available in those days. If it had been written in the Bible down to the scientific detail as to how God did all of this, it would take 1000 Bibles just to cover the first chapter lol. And 7 days and 7 nights...did God have a day-planner?? No! There was nothing, much less a calendar. If you take the time to look at both evolution theory and genesis with an open mind, it becomes obvious that there really is no argument--they completely support one another.

I do. Adam lived 4100 bc, long into human evolution. He and his descendants started off with extremely long life spans. But it seems as they mixed with the local population of humans their life span decrease. Most of Adam's descendants were killed in the flood about 2400 bc.

If the Genesis story of Adam and Eve should be taken literally, why do all depictions of Adam and Eve give them navels? Using artistic depictions of biblical events as evidence, the story must be literal.
