most are good people. they mind their own business. most importantly, they don't force their beliefs on others. I think that's enough to be deserving of respect.

They are mostly good Christian people, but they have put more faith in their relationship with the church and it's traditions than they have with their relationship with God through the Holy Spirit. They tend to live a more religious life, justifed by their works, and believe that the Roman Catholic Church is the only true Chuch of Christ. There are many issues that other Christians regard as error in their beliefs. These have caused several splits from their Church, the largest being the Eastern Orthodox schism and the Protestant Reformation.

The foundation of all Christian beliefs is that Jesus Christ is the Son of the living God. This is the "rock" upon which the Church of Jesus Christ is built, and against which the gates of hell itself will not prevail. Every Christian believes this, and collectively we are the Church. As individuals and as members of the various Christian Churches and denominations, we all strive to do God's will and show our love toward God and other people.

I'm a pretty obvious heathen online and in real life...catholics are usually very respectful. I cant think of a single rude catholic who has tried imposing their beliefs on me

other reasons catholicism iz pretty kewl: high rise ceilings, stained glass windows...and their canonization of and celebration of people who devoted their life to doing good. In history books, such people are seldom mentioned

Catholics believe that God works actively in the world.
Catholics grow in grace through participation in the sacrament life of the church, and through prayer, the work of mercy, and spiritual disciplines.
The Catholic laity also grow in grace when they fulfill their secular duties and try to imbue society with Christian values.
