It's certainly not Italy. The signal box is clearly English and looks like an ex-Southern Railway one. Looking at the name on the 'box it looks like Billingshurst in West Sussex on the line from Victoria via Horsham to Bognor Regis and Chichester - see the pictures in Wikipedia at:- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Billingshurst_railway_station
One is taken from the other direction, but the similarities are quite clear.
