USA has never shown disrespect like that towards the UK and I just wanted to know the thoughts of other UK and USA people.

It's called anti-Americanism, and it's very prevalent in the UK. You should do a search of it on this site, and you'll be amazed at what our "allies" really think and say about us. Not cool. There's a lot more to it than just this boxing match.

First Off I'll say, Mr.BUSH hasn't done a very good job of promoting the USA in the world. With that aside, US people have shown disrespect once before by BOOING the Canadian National Anthem at a Hockey game.

No one is perfect and it was wrong for them to do that, but a majority of them were probably drunk and gone anyways.

At the end of the day it wasn't a National issue but Floyd walked away with the KO and WIN and made that BOOING seem rediculous. Thats all that matters. Would have been much worse if Hatton won. Believe that

pals, do no longer mixture the sensation for a those with the sensation for the strikes of its government! In 2003, some individuals emptied French wine interior the streets and renamed 'French fries' for 'Freedom fries,' so as as an occasion against the French government decision to no longer participate to the invasion of Iraq. yet a democratic vote might have shown that the French have been extra prepared to to it than e.g. the Brits. Likewise it may well be incorrect for the Brits to boo the US nationwide anthem because it might - and do - offend the persons as much as its government. combat to preserve your good to exhibit your political critiques yet admire the persons of all countries. And bear in strategies; if conflict is the respond then we are asking the incorrect question.

They're all just very rude, But having said that the USA do look down their noises at the rest of the world. I have two aunts that live in America and have grown up family's and they can be very arrogant some times. The USA think they won ww2 on their own and that they are the only country in the world that matters, a bit like the English were in Victorian times.

Seriously do not over re-act, it is a trend over here and is prevalent at nearly all England football matches – regardless of the country the anthem is usually heckled.
And do you know why? – Because it winds people up, it is all about the re-action and as nothing to do with intention – rightly or wrongly.
It has nothing what so ever to do with anti Americanism, the war or friendly fire....

I am not too surprised that they did that, they were obnoxious with the 'Wonderland' Chant ALL weekend throughout the MGM. I don't think it goes as far as intentional disrespect, they were just showing their loyalty for their fighter I guess.
I'm with Emma on this one. I partied with a bunch of them all weekend. Some of the coolest people ever.

You guys are idiots. They were booing tyrese. I think they were expecting a proper singer to do the anthem like tom jones did with theirs..

Classless...but they were perhaps very mad that alcohol sales were briefly interrupted by the playing of the National Anthem.
