There are many prophecies about this year. Firstly, the Mayans' calendar will end. Some say it is because they just picked this year to end it. Yet, they were very intelligent people who invented many things.
There are also some Chinese prophecies, which I'm not too familiar with.
Any news/thoughts?

The sun will rise, the sun will set. People will be born, people will die. A child will find pornography, and a senile man will remember his wedding day. Drinks will be served.

I think one of several things will happen.
1.) Nothing (see Y2K and all other so called predictions)
2.) Some attempted terrorists attacks by fanatical Christian or Islamic groups.
3.) If the current trend of delusion, paranoia and general stupidity among the general population contines (see the various "End Times" stuff all over the place, the seemingly increased acceptance of bizarre conspiracy theories, highly polarized political atmosphere in the US an thoughout the world), the end of the world (or more likely an end of our current civilization) could come as a self-fullfilling prophecy in the form of total economic collapse, or nuclear world war.

O MAN I was doing prophecies! Check this out, That is the year POPE JOHN PAUL THE II is expected to return!!!!!! CRAZY!!!!! It sounds weird but I can send you a DVD of my explanation, why? Because there was a POPE named malachy and he prophecied about the POPES until end times. On john pauls he stated: "A solar eclipse" on the day he was born a rare hybrid eclipse came and on the day he was buried the same RARE hybrid eclipse. The Chinese also believed that a solar eclipse occurred when a magical dragon tried to eat the sun.

As were the Greeks, Romans, aforementioned Chinese, Hindus etc. Didn't prevent them from believing retarded things.

Thasts a good question cause the world is so corrupt and its getting worst. Imagine how bad it will be in 2012. we think that the world is getting better but it actually getting worst. only gid knows wht will hapen. and as for the mayan thing I will research it now.

The Mayans predicted that on December 24, 2012, the world will end. Considering how smart the Mayans were and how they created out entire calander system, i'm thinking i might not do christmas shopping that year. If you know what I mean.

It will cause a flurry of people trying to remember to write the year 2012 on checks and other documents during the month of January 2012.
It will cause nut cases to stock up on sh*t paper and water and sit in their basements waiting for something to happen.
This is nothing but silly superstition. Get out more please......
