Does it matter? Sexual abuse with a child is a violation of the soul, no one needs to see it in writing in order to know it is wrong.

There is no reference to child abuse in the bible. That is a restriction imposed purely by societal norms and rules by the people within it not from the church. After all, look at the Catholic religion and the incidences that came to light. The Catholic religion is one of the largest if not the largest in on the globe and, well, how many priests have been reassigned due to violations of law instead of prosecution and how many have gone unreported over the years. Makes you wonder doesn't it. Between the money from M. Jackson and the Catholic church to protect those that have been charged with child molestation, the bottom line is that it is illegal only for those that cannot afford it.

The Bible says in Luke 17:2 (and these are Jesus' words) It would be better for him to be thrown into the sea with a millstone tied around his neck than to cause one of these little ones to sin. There are many verses in the Bible that address sexual immorality some of them are 1 Corinthians 5:9, 6:13, 6:18, 10:8 also Ephesians 5:3 and 1 Thessalonians 4:3. I would hope that nobody is doing anything sexual with a child, and if they are and you know that you would turn them in and have them arrested and jailed.
And as for the mention of hell in my NIV Bible
Matthew 5:22 says (And these are also Jesus' words) But I tell you that anyone who is angry with his brother will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to his brother "Raca" is answerable to the Sanhedrin. But anyone who says "You Fool!" will be in danger of the fire of HELL.
LUKE 16:23 (also Jesus' words)
In HELL, where he was in torment he looked up and saw Abraham far away with Lazarus by his side.
2 PETER 2:4 (not Jesus' words)
For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but sent them to HELL .......(it's a very long verse to type out completely.
But as you can see in the NIV version of the Bible (New International Version) Hell is mentioned 3 separate times in 3 separate books, by Jesus and by an apostle.

God not man judges.
Where does the bible says an adult may harm a child.
1 Cor 10:23-24 is the restriction you are looking for.

Not in the Bible. Because the Bible never mentions Hell.
There's a big long portion of Leviticus that talks about the abominations of lying with animals, relatives, etc. There might be something in there that gets interpreted as going to Hell, and there might be a mention about children. Don't rightly remember though. That's also where it talks about what we now call homosexuality, but some of us take exception to that part.

Don't use a book written by anyone to influence your actions. EVERYONE has a sense of right/wrong, and even though the Christians on here most likely group Wiccans in with Atheists, I think the Wiccans have it right--"Do ye as ye will, an ye harm none". Sexually abusing a child is harming a child, and therefore WRONG, and I think most people on here would agree no matter what their religion or non-religion happens to be.

the correct answer is NO. the bible really has no mention of hell at all except in relation to HADES (a burning graveyard outside the city gates. Hades and hell are often interchanged which, i believe, is where we get the "burning in hell" reference).
however, the question you ask is strictly based on christian thinking. societal beliefs are such that hell is too good for an individual that commits such an act. my own beliefs are MUCH stronger than societal (however I am certain that the majority are in line with my way of thinking)

Um..I've never read the bible,but..the better question to ask is..why are you asking this?
guilty conscience?
Sexually molesting a child is sick and wrong. If there is a god and heaven, then I doubt you'll be there.(if you've did this to a child)
You're finding false comfort by asking if it's in the bible, who the hell cares if it's in the bible,it's downright wrong.

There is a verse in the bible (Matthew 18 : 6) that says "but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it would be better for him to have a heavy millstone hung around his neck, and to be drowned in the depth of the sea". Anyone who abuses a child definitely falls into this category - go the millstone!!

I don't think it actually says that. But most christians would like to believe that anyhow.
Afterall, what could be worst than harming a child?
It makes humans feel better, that if we don't get them in this lifetime, maybe something will get them in the next. It helps some people to think there is some justice...
