I got a major tooth ache in the back of my mouth. I cant afford to pay to have it fixed by a regular dentist, was wondering if any one knows any loop wholes in the system or if there are any low income places I can go to.

Thanks,
Doc

You can check at local colleges that have dental school and see if they'll do it.

Well, I know where you can get for free, your clothes, food, and all medical attention that you need. Join the Air Force! They'll even give you a handsome $$ bonus for just signing up.

Other than that, you will have to go to the welfare office and fill out their paper-work. If it's really severe, you can walk into the emergency room at a hospital. They can't turn you down. But it's a humiliating situation. One more thing that you can try is to walk in cold into a dentist office, and offer to clean up the place for a certain period of time, in exchange for tooth repair. What have you got to lose? You will have to become very creative in this case to achieve your goal.

There are low income dental places that will charge you on a sliding scare based on your income. I know of no places to get free dental, however you can go to a dental school and get big discounts on any work done there. Look in your phone directory for dental offices that accept medi-cal because they usually are also the sliding scale places. And there you also be a referal number listed for low income places. Do also a search on your computer for "low income dental" in your area.

Local dental colleges usually offer dental services at cut rates because the work is done by students that are supervised by instructors. The only hang-up is that the appointments are not very flexible and you can expect to blow your entire day for 30 minutes of work.

Dental schools usually offer treatments at a huge discount (some are 50% off). You might want to check the universities in your area.

Here in Britain it's hard enough to get a dentist. They cut people who are unemployed off there list, they started doing so when the Tories were in, and have continued with it. Glad I don't need them. Got nice teeth,

Go to a dental school but you will be taking your mouth into untrained hands but with supervision.

Please refer to the scene in "Castaway" wherein Tom Hanks successfully removed a molar tooth using a skate blade and a rock.

Look, don't mess with tooth pain and infection as the consequences can be drastic. You can't afford not to have it handled!
