Egg whites are really high in protein and fat-free (i think), if you can separate the yolks. If the person needs the fat, you can just leave the yolks in. I hope that helps.

Hi there,
when we have someone who is protein deficient on the ward they get
fortisip build ups or forti juces... they can taste unpleasant though
We get most success out of geting half amug banana fortisip and half a mug of full fat milk... far more pleasant and tolerated better.
Any meat is a protien so work out what they like and put it in a palatable form.. minced chicken, easier to swallow etc
egg provides protein and fat, scrambled egg.
The reason that these are scrambled and minced you have said that they are protein deficient, chances are they are also easily tired and chewing costs effort and energy.
Fruit smoothies are good for vitamins and help the immune system
pineapple is very good for sore mouths

If they still have an appetite, they should go with beans, any kind of meat, dairy, eggs and peanut butter and nuts are REALLY good for protein. The peanut butter and nuts are good also if there appetite has decreased a bit, because they are small enough to be administered as snack portions. Protein drinks and meal replacement shakes are also a good choice. Personally, My grandmother had cancer back in 2004 and she preferred handfuls of mixed planters nuts (unsalted) and peanut butter and saltines instead of the shakes, which can leave a bitter taste in their mouths. I hope this was helpful for you, and I wish for a favorable outcome.

Honestly, at that stage, anything they can eat and keep down is good. High protein milk shakes are good.
