A small amount rubbed on the inside of the lip, unless you want to pay for specific allergy testing would give you a pretty good answer. If you will have a major reaction, it should cause tingling on the lip, although it may cause hives or itching. You can also try eating a very small amount and see if you have a problem. If you are allergic to honey, though, it's not a good idea to try any of this at all.

You could try putting it on your lips and see if you get any reaction, itching, swelling etc. Or you could put a small amount on your skin and use a sterilised needle to just prick your skin underneath the blob of it. This is how they do skin prick tests in your doctors. Check it after 10 mins and if there's any swelling, redness or itching it's a good indication of an allergy. I wouldn't recommend taking a capsule of it incase you get a severe reaction and go into anaphylaxis.

If you are planning to use the capsules, I would just break one and try a skin test - would probably give an indication. Otherwise take one and have something like Piriton handy just in case, which you will probably have if you have an allergy to bee stings anyhow.
