If you trust him then why do you need to convince him just talk to him about why he does not want to were one and look at look at the options like the ring on a chain or the tattoo about its not just a ring its a sign of your love for each other!
Having said that I know a few men who don't have one because of their work or other reasons don't have one!

I tried to convince my hubby to wear his ring. He did for a few months, but then he would forget to put it on and finally he just stopped wearing it. He hated wearing a ring. I think it was like torture for him to have something on his finger! His finger actually hurt at the end of the day when he wore it. He wears no jewelry, not even a wristwatch so I understand why he didn't wear it. I don't think it is a big deal. Maybe that's because my Dad never wore his ring for pretty much the same reason. My hubby is the only one of his friends who doesn't wear his wedding ring. Now I try to get him to wear it when we go to functions like weddings and stuff, but it's really not that big a deal. I know he loves me and isn't going anywhere. He's even asked me a few times if it bothers me because if it did I think he would really try to wear it, but since it honestly doesn't we're OK.

You can't. My dad doesn't wear is, b/c of his job that is. But he wears it when they travel or go out or what not. Some men just truly do NOT like wearing any kind of jewelry. It's not that big of a deal...but it would bug me if my H2B didn't want to wear one. He hates wearing any kind of jewelry as well, but is pretty excited about his wedding ring we picked out! :o)
Just don't try to MAKE him wear it. Tell him you'd appreciate if he wore it to show the world his love for you and that he's made that special commitment.
Good luck!

Well......some people just don't want to wear a ring. It's no a slam at you he might just not be a ring person. I would get him a plain gold band for holidays, and special occassions, and leave it at that. You could also ask him to wear it when he goes out with th guys. I wouldn't stress out about it. Some people just don't like to wear wedding rings

Some guys just don't like wearing a ring or depending on his line of work it can be dangerous to have one on.Ask if he'd be willing to wear it on a chain.

I am stubborn on things, and if I wanted him to wear a ring, he would. My fiance feels a little funny about wearing a ring-he's never worn any kind of jewelery besides a watch. I told him he'll get used to it, and he's wearing a ring. End of story. If this is something really important to you, and it won't interfere with his job, he should want to please you since he knows how important it is to you.

Ask him to wear the the ring for it is a cirle of love that never ends and that you would like him to wear and when he sees it that he will think of you and remember that day you said I DO!

Why does he not want to wear a ring?
There could be many reasons.
Depending on what his reasons are, I wouldn't have a problem with it.

there's no need for him to wear the ring.
perhaps he could wear one around his neck?
or just wear it for the ceremony and special occasions. Let him keep it in a box beside the bed instead of wearing it on a daily basis.
a lot of husbands choose not to wear wedding bands due to their work. and it's no problem at all.

could it be an issue with safety on the job?
does he have allergies?
does he wear any jewellery?
many men do not like to wear jewellery of any kind.
if he doesn't like jewellery would he consider a tattooed ring on his finger? that would be quite original and wouldn't pose safety hazard of any kind.
maybe you just haven't found the right ring yet. i wouldn't fight it if he just doesn't want to wear one.......let him be and perhaps down the road he will change his mind.
