The alcohol is destroying your liver. The liver will swell and feel hard to the touch. This will become permanent. It's called sclerosis of the liver. You will die early if you don't stop drinking. The liver can regenerate itself if allowed to heal.

HI COrnboy

Your kidney and gallbladder are right below your liver. If you have too much toxic overload these organs are probably working overtime and could be in trouble. Here is what you should do regardless.

Q. Why is a liver cleanse so important?

A. Doing a colon cleanse and a liver/gallbladder cleanse are two very important things if you want to cure yourself of any illness or disease. It is important to know that the liver is the major fat burning organ in the body. The liver is the only organ that can pump fat out of the body, and the liver is the filter and cleanser of the bloodstream. Every single person, in my opinion, has a sluggish liver. If your liver is sluggish you cannot burn fat properly, you cannot get fat out of the body properly, and you cannot filter and clean your blood properly. Therefore, if you have a sluggish liver you are absolutely guaranteeing yourself illness and disease. Your liver is sluggish because of all the chemicals and toxins in the food that you eat, and all the nonprescription and prescription drugs. Most notably, if you are on cholesterol-reducing drugs, you absolutely have a sluggish liver. If you have ever taken an antibiotic in your life, the antibiotic has killed the friendly flora in your intestine, causing a Candida yeast overgrowth, which always goes and attacks the liver. When you do a liver cleanse, almost everyone feels so much better they can't believe the difference.

Best of health to you

I am a recovered alcoholic, I have not had a drink for over a year.

Three years ago, I sat by my wife's hospital bed-side and watched her die from liver damage caused by alcohol, she was 50.

Being an alcoholic, the insanity which is the disease of alcoholism, it didn't stop me drinking, it got steadily worse until last year when I went into re-hab.

I have been going to AA meetings for over a year now, and they are keeping me sober, I strongly urge you to go to one, you wont have to say anything, or do anything if you don't want to, just listen, you will hear stories from people exactly like yourself, some a lot worse.

The AA programme rarely fails people who stick to it.

I live in Luton and there are ten different groups within a ten mile radius, I go to several of them because they are on different nights of the week, you can't go to too many of them.

The liver is a marvelous organ and can regenerate itself to a certain extent, there is a limit, mine is normal now after fifty years of drinking, but some like my late wife's just can't cope anymore and pack in.

Stop before it is too late, the AA programme is a simple one, not easy to do, but a simple one that rarely fails, if you stick to it.

whenever you drink, your liver works twice as hard to get the alcohol out of your body. for every bottle of beer you drink, it takes an hour for the alcohol to be out of your body where your liver will filter it. your liver right now is on OVERLOAD; you should stop drinking. go to AA and go to your doctor before you get in a lot of trouble. im 14 and i know this stuff, i think you should make a better effort to keep yourself informed about what toxins do to your body

You need to get physically checked out by MD. You can be having an acute attack of something. It could be your gallbladder or pancreas. If not taken care of they can cause painful & dangerous medical conditions.

I agree try out AA. If you don't like the 1st group you go to try another group. They are all different.
