I am not talking about a quick call, but a point a to point b full fledged conversation.

It's rude anytime you are in another's company. A quick "I'll call you back. I'm with company," should be about the extent of any subject matter other than the most dire.

It doesn't matter whether it's rude.

What matters is that using a mobile phone while driving increases your risk of having an accident and therefore you should not be using a mobile phone while you are driving (I don't care whether it's a quick call or a conversation, don't f***ing do it).

Oh and hands free phones still increase your chances of having an accident (by the same amount as holding it to your ear) so those should be banned for use by driving just as much as phones held up to the ear.

Yes. It most certainly is.

I have had enough of rude & ignorant people using mobile/cell phones to such an extent that I now tell them they are being rude when they do such acts.

They do it in restaurants - to the annoyance of other diners; in supermarkets while waiting in the checkout; on public transport - & the ones that do it the most are the ones that bellow the loudest while talking!

Cell phones have become one of the biggest downfalls of society as we know it.Not only is it rude to talk on it while you're with company but while you are shopping and paying for your stuff is what makes me mad too.The cashier is trying to put someone through and they're so busy yakking that they don't pay attention when she tells them how much it is.I don't get why having a phone so someone can reach you 24/7 is such a big deal.we did just fine without phones attached like body limbs for so many years....we can do with out them again.I would like to see every cell phone tower ripped down immediately.

Not for the whole trip. Initially talk with the driver but if there is an extended lull in the conversation it would be OK to have a call.

it's rude and dangerous to be on a cell phone while driving period. your full attention needs to be on the road, if you don't care enough not to do it for your life, do it for others.

Yes, when ther's company or are conversing with someone else, it's very rude and shows disintrest.

The driver really shouldn't be on a cell phone at all! Unless it's pressing business, I say "Yes, it's rude."

Rude and possibly dangerous if the talker is the one behind the wheel.
