If you want a full-size truck you would have to sacrifice gas mileage. The early 2000's Dodge Rams are nice and still look great. Plus, they have nice extended and quad cab models.

If you can use something smaller, the smaller toyota trucks (like the older Tundras or Tacomas) would be good - mainly because they aren't so big, and the gas mileage will be better.

Good luck!

A tent trailer doesn't weigh that much, does it? I got a Dodge 2500 4 x 4 with the Cummins diesel. It pulls my 8000 pound Airstream well. I have an aftermarket overdrive because the RPMs are a bit high in fourth gear. (Fifth is strictly overdrive with no load). I get a bit over 20 mpg with California smog. With the trailer behind, I get a lot less, maybe 13 o4 14, but then I tend to keep up with traffic. If I slowed down to the double nickel, my mileage would go up.

My truck has the extended cab which has six seat belts (though I'd hate to be the middle passenger in front).

I don't know what you'd get from a Toyota. You'll have to find out for yourself. See ya on the road !!

Tacoma. If you want to pull something, that is. If you want to be pulled - go with ford, dodge, chevy, etc.
