why do people who follow what most of the torah/bible says disobey the one commandment that you can't be gay?

If somebody is gay and isn't doing it to you then it doesn't matter.
What is a real mystery is why the religious have such a problem with it? Religious people, keep your minds and your laws out of other peoples bedrooms, and stop thinking about what other consenting adults do in the privacy of their own homes. You are starting to look like a bunch of perverts.

You have the right to be happy.
You have the right to choose your life.
You have the right to live your private life as you choose (so long as you are not a killer, rapist, sadist... I am sure you understand).
If you prefer to be gay, then you have the right to be gay.
PS.
My marriage is not affected because my friend chooses to be gay. How so? Homosexuality is not contagious.
