Deuteronomy 22:28-29

28 If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found;

29 Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel's father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days.

it is been pronounced there are various 'outs' in the bible. it is stressful to appreciate. it somewhat is in the context of this,"5 yet while out in the country a guy happens to fulfill a woman pledged to be married and rapes her, merely the guy who has executed this shall die. 26 Do no longer something to the lady". v 28 seems to intend consent on the two the events. in line with risk the 'rape' is statutory? All that aside Jesus replaced plenty in the NT. Love replaced vengeance, forgiveness replaced restitution, and compassion replaced the 'regulations'. Homosexuality, homicide, theft, mendacity, adultery, and so on... are sins, continuously have been. you're speaking apples and oranges. how can some obscure passage in the OT no longer justify sin right this moment? Tres extraordinary. Sin is sin. in case you want to appreciate the certainty you could.

Dear Friend,

What you are reading in Deuteronomy 22:28-29 is not rape. "and he lie with her." There was no force involved. They were both willing partners.

Sincerely in Christ Jesus,

Yes. The Biblical God repeatedly COMMANDS his followers to commit all kinds of atrocities, including rape and murder. Most Christians have never READ the ENTIRE Bible, so they have no idea what it REALLY says:

If you believe that rape is ok then also believe that it is ok for me to shove a spear through your head for doing it.

The bible was written by sick men with great big problems, to control other sick men with even bigger problems.

This passage describes relations between consenting adults.
It does not describe violence against women.

when i read that i see it as this--- God gave a soultion to a problem and a way to make it right

That's disgusting.
That's essentially justifying rape so long as you pay for what you just fxcked and marry her.

Makes you wonder no Jews or Christians have ever tried to use that verse to justify rape. Strange, isn't it?
