...some people respond with hate and anger? I just asked a quesiton about Atheism and God and I got some really rude and hateful answers. Pretty much people were telling me that I was ignorant and that I didn't know what I was talking about. WELL DUH! THAT'S WHY I ASKED THE QUESTION! I thought this was a forum to ask questions... not a forum to come on here and post headers about what all you learned on your life's journey! What do you all think?

I never attempt to respond with hate and anger. However, questions that are worded in anger can get a terse response. I would have to see your question to offer any true insight into the issue at hand.

I do grow weary of the whole Christians are ignorant and Atheists suck cycle that never ends. I do think it would be a GREAT idea for YAHOO! reward some type of points for using that little white search box up above more often.

By this time, chances are your question is not unique. If I had a dime for every time I read a question on, "Do you think Jesus..." then I could retire and answer questions full-time.

Pixi, I'm sorry you were treated badly. It is supposed to be a safe place to seek answers. Some insecure people get angry over religion/atheism stuff and go off on other folks. It is such a shame. I look for sincere questions they are my favorite.

Please don't let them discourage you, blow off their hatefulness and just keep looking for information and understanding. Their anger and hate is not really about you; I think they are angry at someone else and just blow up at you because they can. So sad and pathetic, don't you think?

I wish I'd seen your question, I would have done my best to answer it for you! Hang in there, I think there are more nice people on Y/A than mean ones. R/S just gets people all angry for some reason.

Much too many people come here to rant and vent.
Sad to say that, at times, I've been one of those.

Occasionally, I get so sick of reading the same, tired questions and responses that I lash out.

I know I have offended some persons here in Yahoo. My sarcasm was intended to be instructive (not only offensive, which sarcasm always is).

I apologize.

If at any time in the future I respond in any snotty or sarcastic mode, please, don't take it personally. It is a shortcoming in me for not being able to digest so much drivel.
I should be thicker skinned.
I'm sorry,
Dave.

i feel your pain. A lot of people just want to get points for answering. A lot of people really are frustrated, and shoot steam off in this forum, and a lot of people don't have polished social skills (ie, they're obnoxius and rude). I get really frustrated with the hate too, and can't really understand it. Especially from atheists, who should just look as us religious with benign patronage, rather than responding as if there's a devil over their shoulder, so to speak.

Some people have not patience for others. They think everyone should think the same way they do.. Even though no one has actual answers for anything pertaining to Religion. Everything is basically Theory. So just ignore it.

Because people come on this forum, and spam and make fun of christians, and try to be "Funny", when all there really doing is being immature small minded jerks, they feel safe behind the computer screen, and i gurantee you the ones doing it would NEVER say anything like that in real life.

Yea,you're right. Others should be very careful in answering and they should remember that all of the questions that are asked are to be verified/answered because the one who asks wanted to learn. It's not because that person is ignorant.Don't worry dear,we're just a human being and we're not perfrect.

Don't let them get to you, PixiKiss. Those that respond rudely or hatefully are showing their immaturity to all who see.

Remember also, that like weeds in a garden of flowers, wherever you have a place where God's people gather, Satan will have his servants among them.

Some people have a lot of ignorance in them and they feel that the situation is an insulting one but you are trying to learn about it so you can know and the fact that they can help is being overpowered by their ignorance.

I know, seriously. they're like all discriminating between the two. I'm actually athiest, and everyone who is some other religion thinks we hate em. WRONG. we just aren't believing in them. and then they're like you're all ignorant of the truth and all, but there's nothing proven at all and all so blah. DAS IST DAS ENDE! (i said that in german class... such stupid grammar comes outta my mouth... it doesn't make sense but it sounded funny o-o")
