my boyfriend, yeti, went to a faith healer school. he dropped out after the first semester because they said that since he isn't human, he doesn't have a soul. it was a two-semester intensive with scriptural basics, southern accent, and accessorizing polyester as required curriculum. he took an elective in canvass tent repairing and maintenance. the second semester was to be advanced scripture, how to apply wigs and gym sock wads, and using family members as decoys.

No, I don't think they should have to go to medical school. After all, they aren't claiming to heal by their knowledge of anatomy and physiology. But I think they should be held accountable, and that when they declare a cure for some disease or injury, and a medical exam shows that is not the case, then they can be held financially liable. After all, by proclaiming a person healed, they discourage that person from getting further medical assistance, which can and too often does lead to death. I doubt most faith healers could make it through the first year of college, much less complete medical school.

Why would you need medical training? Faith healers do not practice medicine (although they can be very powerful in the healing process) I know there are religious education avenues you can explore within different faiths (seminary etc.). You might even have your own personal brand of faith that you believe will heal people.

"faith healer" usually connotes some snake-oil salesman with a Bible in his hand. Healing is one of the "gifts of the Spirit" outlined in 1 Corinthians. Some television-age examples: Kathryn Kuhlman, Benny Hinn, Oral Roberts.

If you heal with faith, you don't need any medical school learning to do it. It's from faith.
You can do other healing with medical training, but faith can't be taught.

It's not as easy as you think...just the hairspray courses alone last two years. Six months for oversized gold rings...and another two years in sweating and forhead whiping.

I don't know -
but at least they don't leave the medical instruments behind after surgery. I'm pretty sure they only use their hands and incense.
