Is there anything called 'creationism'? It is new to me.

icr.org and your Bible! You can also try a book called Man's Origin; Man's Destiny by A. E. Wilder Smith. Another book that might be helpful is The Genesis Record by Henry Morris!
Good Luck!
Despite what others may say, there is plenty of proof (evidence ) to support Creation and/or an Intelligent Design. The evidence is there if you are willing to honestly and objectively dig into the facts involved.
Whatever you do, stay away from Darwin's Theory of Evolution because with all of the tremendous technological advances in molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, and information theory, it is nothing more than a theory in crisis.

Explain how all the elements of a human cell came together through evolution. This is like saying: "There has been a tornado and a Boeing 767 has been created from the wreckage". And now explain how it then got it's memebrane so important to keep the elements safe together. We need a plant the size of NYC to produce one such living cell... and we have billions upon billions of these cells in our bodies. There is no reliable proof to back the process of evolution. Science today is teaching us more and more that there is a God!

Creationists and Evolutionists all have the SAME evidence.
The only difference is how that evidence is interpreted. If you believe in evolution you will say the evidence points toward evolution. If you believe in an intelligent designer you will say the evidence points toward intelligent design.
It makes a BIG difference what you believe BEFORE you look at the evidence.
What most people are calling evolution I call adaptation which is NOT automatically the same thing. To be evolution a change would need to involve producing NEW information but most changes involve a LOSS of information.

You dont need to prove it as it is manifested in every thing around us. Only those who propose the theory of Evolution have to give the proof for the "missing link" between the animals and the human DNA. it is proved that the DNA of humans cannot be evolved from the DNA of an animal. To understand this we can say no animal can count even 1 or 2. All animals act upon reflexes and instincts. Only man can think and act. He can choose his path of life and act towards it. Pls read my other answers about Infinity in Maths, Photon in Physics as proof for creation and faith in "Unseen"

Bwahahahahah! I think you've been set up, poor kid.
Oh wait, if you're going to a Christian school, then it shouldn't be a problem, just say something like "Uhhhh they found a dead duck next to a human fossil."
Or "Ummm, there's no germs in a jar of peanut butter."
Believe it or not, the second one is an actual argument against evolution.

I believe in God.
I also believe this question disturbs me greatly as it is no different than going back to the Dark Ages when the medieval church demonized Copernicus when he came out with a book that said the earth revolves around the sun rather than as the Bible indicates..the sun revolving around the earth.
Modern medicine and genetics and so many medical treatments and tests are dependent on APPLICATION of evolutionary theory.
If our next generation in the United States is not taught the proper meaning of what evolution is, we simply cannot keep up with the technology that COULD be used against us. Ignorance is not bliss.
Our collective technology has exceeded our humanity. ( I can't take credit for that one, Einstein said it )
I certainly hope and pray this young woman spends some time to learn what evolution is and that it doesn't negate an omnipotent Creator because it doesn't address the issue.
I would also point out that it is a self-concept rather than faith in God that biology threatens.
Biology shows with objective physical evidence that humans are not above and separate from all other life..but that we are all related and connected in a web of life. As long as life and reproduction exist..evolution happens..and thus creation happens. It didn't just happen in six days and stop...
Also..if Genesis must be literal and the rest of the Torah is literally believed by Christians..how can they truly claim they believe it all as literal? The Torah and Tanakh state within it that the covenant is eternal more than a dozen times....and that circumcision is an eternal symbol of the eternal covenant of Israel....and I could go on and on with comamnds and precepts that are in Torah that are negated in Christian doctrine...there would be no "New Testament" if Christians truly took every word in the Bible literally. Deuteronomy commands not to add to or take away from the eternal covenant of Torah.
Evolution is observed to happen. Questions about biology have no place under religion and beliefs because it requires no "faith" to process the physical evidence..it requires that your self-concept not be threatened by understanding it. If your psyche cannot deal with knowing that you're an animal..a bipedal primate mammal ..then perhaps this is why you're in a state of denial to the mountains of evidence that cannot be denied by everyone whose self-concept isn't demeaned. Because we see it, can observe it with our own two eyes, it is impossible to say evolution is not real.
The fact of evolution being the process whereby species change over time..and whereby new species develop over time..has not been debated in the scientific and medical community in more than sixty years!
The only debate has been over the exact method of various processes OF evolution.
Intelligent Design is another name for Biblical Creationism and is not science as more th an one court has deteremined because it cannot be applied to scientific method and depends on religious dogma. It is simply not science. It is not an "alternative" to a scientific theory.
The fact that seemingly intelligent adults often do not even posess a high school level of science literacy is astounding to me. Every time I see a question such as this I want to stress to every adult I can..do whatever you can to support science literacy!
If you are concerned about ethics in science..we must have ethical people learning science..and we must stop dumbing down the educational curriculum of our next generation.
We're going to have an abysmally low pool of choices for physicians and nurses if they are biologically illiterate.
Shalom
EDIT..adaptation is only ONE of many processes at work in evolution. I have read so many false claims about evolution here under your answer that it is so sad..a HIGH SCHOOL student shoujld know better! I thank God for my tenth grade biology teacher from 34 years ago! And so much more is known today than THEN!
visit a museum of science and natural history sometime..
go to the National Association of Biology Teachers web site
learn what biology is from a biologist...
it is not as the poster said..dependent on what you "believe" beforehand.
It depends on what you know and what you see and what can be tested and applied to scientific method.
creationism is not science
I have a religion and I have faith in God. Biology isn't it. Biology, Cosmology, Geology, Physics..all of the processes at work in those studies..I happen to believe that God set in place..but since God is outside the realm of scientific method..it makes no difference if one is THEIST or ATHEIST..the evidence and process are the same..
Scientific method is the best process so far for us to determine what is real and what is not real and how the universe works.
My faith in God helps give me understanding for a meaning for existence and my place in the world.
I can use both religion and science to seek knowledge but they're different methods.
Shalom

Find another topic. There is no evidence for Creationism. There is only attempts to say that Evolution is too hard or to improbable.

Don't worry, it isn't evidence you require. It is only a persuasive argument based upon second-hand conjecture that is being asked for.
