Pre-trib. Rev. 3:10 promises to deliver the church from trials. "Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth." Also in 1 Thess. 1:9-10 the Thessalonians were "wait[ing] for HIs Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, that is Jesus, who delivers us from the wrath to come." This refers to the coming 7-year tribulation period because 1 & 2 Thess. deals with the Day of the Lord & the judgment of God that precedes the coming of Christ. There are others passages, as well.

I believe it will be Pre-trib. but the Bible leaves this area a little gray. Those who are post trib can find Bible verses to back their views just as I can find Bible verses to back mine. I think in the end it comes down to this. If it happens pre-trib, then praise God that He not only spared us, but also gave everyone else one last chance to turn to Him before the end. If it is mid-trib, then praise him for not making us go through the whole thing, and for still giving everyone else one last chance. If it is Post Trib then be strong in your faith and stand firm, don't take the mark, and you won't have to go through the whole thing anyway because you'll get beheaded!

Foxfire, who says every trumpet blast you mentioned is the same one? There are many trumpet blasts mentioned in the Bible.

However it works out, we just need to keep following Him.

And I need to get off of here and put the finishing touches on my Sunday School lesson!

Pre trib. Much in the scriptures tells how the believers will be taken OUT before the wrath of God Falls.

Think about Noah. God warned him YEARS in advance of the fact he was going to destroy the world. Gave everyone a chance. Noah spent time building the ARK, WHY? BECAUSE he KNEW that when God said something was going to happen, he better believe it.

Everyone laughed at his boat, building it away from ANY WATER. But he was ready.

The rest of the world continued to eat, drink and be merry, marry, give in marriage, and build build build... sound familiar? We are living in the days "like Noahs"....

Actually the Bible is quite clear as to the fact thatb it will be "Post-Trib".

There is a progression here, so please carefully read all of what is written below..

First of all, Jesus states that when He returns it will be with the sound of a trumpet;

Matthew 24:29-31

29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Note that Jesus said this will happen AFTER the Tribulation.

Paul goes further and says that at the Rapture;

I Thessalonians 4:16-18

16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

Note carefully that the voice of the archangel will be heard, along with the sound of a trumpet.

Next, Paul states that we who are still living will inherit our immortal bodies at the same time that the dead will be raised. Note carefully that he says this will happen "at the last trumpet".

I Corinthians 15:51-52

51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

Again, a trumpet sound will signify this event. The "last trump" indicates that there will be others preceding it.

In the book of Revelation, seven trumpets are blown by angels, six of which bring disasters. But read very carefully what it says about the seventh angel and his trumpet;

Revelation 10:5-7

5 And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven,

6 And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer:

7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.

Ok, now we have an angel declaring that when the seventh angel utters his voice and sounds his trumpet, time will cease to exist and the mystery of God will be finished.

Revelation 11:15-18

15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

16 And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God,

17 Saying, We give thee thanks, O LORD God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.

18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.

With the sounding of the seventh and last trumpet, the righteous dead are resurrected, the living believers receive their new, immortal bodies and Jesus becomes Lord of the whole Earth, beginning His millenial reign.

To summarize up to this point, Jesus stated that He would return with the sound of a trumpet. Paul states that He will return with the shout of the archangel and the sound of the last trumpet.

Seven trumpets are blown in the book of Revelation, of which six bring disasters and the seventh (and last) trumpet ushers in the return of Jesus, the resurrection of the righteous dead and the changing of the living believers into their eternal, immortal forms.

Now comes the clincher.

The "Pre" and "Mid-Tribulation" rapture scenarios call for Jesus returning invisibly to "rapture" His church from the Earth, followed by a visible, glorious return sometime later.

Yet this is contradicted by Revelation 16:13-16, in which John says;

Revelation 16:13-16

13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.

14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.

16 And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.

Here John says that Armageddon is about to start and Jesus is STILL saying that He is coming as a thief. If He had already "raptured" His church in a Pre or Mid-Tribulation "rapture", the world would know that He would be soon returning in glory. But the fact that Jesus is saying that He is coming as a thief shows that He hasn't returned yet.

Therefore He will not return to Earth to "rapture" His church until sometime during Armageddon.

There are numerous other Scriptures to prove this also, but I think these will suffice. Jesus NEVER said that we would escape the Great Tribulation, but warns us of what to watch for that we may be prepared for it.

Don't be deceived by false doctrines that cannot be verified with Scripture.
