That there is an end to space or do you think that it just stops somewhere?
My husband and I have this discussion and he thinks it has to end, and I think it never ends...

Krishna Devotee: If it can be destroyed and if there is an end... Then what lies on the other side of the end and what remains when it is destroyed? MORE SPACE.

I believe the general consensus is that the 4 dimensions we perceive - 3 spatial dimensions + time are actually folded into a donut or bagel shape.
Therefore, if you travelled in the same direction for a very very long time, you would end up back where you started.
So in that sense - it never ends.
But to stick up for your husband - if you could view the universe in 5 dimensions, it would have edges...
So you're both a little bit wrong and a little bit right.

When it comes to the topic of space there is many contorversy. As in my opinion i belive that it does not end. if it were to end what would make it end? pressure maybe of near by black holes? I am not sure if the exert pressure put if they do what would be on the other side. There is no way to know with todays technology but overall space not ending seems the most plasuable just because of the fact there is no evidence to support a theory of space ending.

I believe science has proven there is no end. Some radio signals beamed into space do not return, meaning they do not hit anything. If they don't hit anything, they are still traveling at the speed of light, which is 286,000 miles per second. I don't think our feeble brains can actually begin to understand the complexity of the Universe. If there was an end, what would you find at the end? If you found nothing, what is the definition of nothing?

Well my guess is that it does have an end. But it is still expanding rapidly after the Big Bang. So that may seem to be the reason why it looks endless. It may eventualy stop and hold it's place or eventualy cave in due to all the gravity that matter is creating. But then it will rebound from itself and create another Big Bang. I'm sorry for going off subject. I just got carried away.
Happy Holidays.

yes it has an end because it is part of the Lord's material energy. And as a rule stated in the Bhagavad-Gita, something material has a beginning and an end, a creation and a destruction. The universe was created, therefore it can be destroyed. It is forever expanding however. Its difficult for us humans to try and rationalize the universe. . .

My understanding is that such questions don't really make any sense. "Space" is a creation of the big bang. There isn't anything beyond space. There are a lot of very good, very readable articles from cosmologists about this.

there is no end to space. thats like saying that the world is flat. a question that should just be dropped because all you are going to do is argue about t for no reason.

They say the Universe is indefinite
We are so small and the universe is so big
The Universe is a Bubble in that "Bubble" there's time , dimension's . Galaxy's . planets , solar systems . elements , atoms , basic building blocks of Life and existence

I think that physicists since Einstein believe that space is curved, and that it is self contained. If you looked up in the sky and could see far enough, you would be looking at yourself.
