Most of the mormons I have meet are some of the kindest people I have come across, however, out of all the faiths on the planet this is the one I have the hardest time understanding.

How someone can believe in a faith whose claims have been disproved and had Joseph "the loon" Smith as it's founder is beyond me. His story of "revelation is so ludicrous I really do not understand how a rational person can accept it.

No one has disproved any claims or revelations from the Book of Mormon. Like the Bible many revelations have yet to be completed. Though we are seeing the signs from both the Book of Mormon and the Bible. I do a lot of research on the internet about claims that Joseph Smith is "disproved" so wrong or other wise an evil person.

Really no one can disprove or prove any thing about the LDS church. It would be much easier to disprove Christianity in general than to disprove the LDS church wrong. There is no corruption in this church at the core and there never will be. No other church can claim this. Many are against the LDS church and I have seen some DVD’s released by churches against the LDS church. They are completely ignorant of what the LDS church stands for or believes in.

So my point is that there is much confusion and opinion from other Christian churches out there about the LDS church. They say things that show completely that they have never read the Book of Mormon and really don't speak an opinion that's even educated about the LDS church.

I personally believe that there is nothing to discredit the LDS church. There is a lot of priest craft in the US which are people that make money using the name of Christ. These people lose money because of the membership of the LDS church. So in this aspect I see why people try so hard to find ways to discredit the LDS church. I have tried to find prove of the claims made by other churches with an open mind. I have concluded that many claims by other churches are unfounded.

They do. Have you ever read some of the D&C? Some of those have come true, and not all the ones in the bible have....

Dec. 25, 1832

D&C 87 1-6
Sorry, i had originally typed it all out, but It was too long to be bothered to read. Basically what D&C 87 talks about is the civil war:
1. The war would begin with the rebellion of South Carolina.
2. It would cause the death and misery of many souls.
3. The Southern States would be divided against the Northern States.
4. The Southern States would call upon other nations for assistance, even upon the nation of Great Britain.
5. Great Britain would call upon other nations for assistance
6. War would eventually be poured out upon all nations.

Plus there was also the Word of Wisdom. Joseph Smith could never have know all the health risks of caffeine, nicotine, and alcohol back then, but he advised us all to avoid it.
He predicted his own death and martyrdom, and he also predicted the migration to Utah. And there was also mentioned the children who's hearts turn to their fathers, ie, ancestors. That was in Malachi, actually, if I'm not mistaken.

There are a lot of modern prophecies by various prophets. I'm not going to go into them now.

However, I would like to point out that the Bible covers about 4000 years. Very little of it is prophecy. Most of the prophecy that exists revolves around Christ's birth and his second coming. The Lord established his church again about 170 years ago. Yes, there have been prophecies, but that hasn't been the bulk of what has been taught.

A revelation is a prophesy. Besides the definition of a prophesy is something that is professed. They are constantly professing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Now if you're talking about telling of something that is to come and that definition of a prophesy, then they are constantly doing that as well. Read a copy of the Ensign or the Liahona.

Joseph Smith was told his name would be known for good or ill by the whole world.
