Aren't there air shuttles for $99 or less to places like the Bahamas and Florida? Find out what's going on in Florida online, then catch a plane, train or bus south where it's warm and have fun in the sun for a week, maybe find an event to go to, there's so much to do and see in Florida. It isn't hurricane or tornado season and it should be a lot warmer than New York - it's the perfect time to go.

where are you starting from?
oh yeah, definately go south from buffalo. if you can manage the drive to a NYC airport, you should be able to get a cheap package from nyc to a major city in florida. hang out on the beach. $800 will do it np. have fun!

Try getting ideas from looking at the travel packages on http://www.wiitravel.com they have lots of different places you can go for less that 800 to escape all that snow and cold you have up there. New Orleans is fun.

It depends on what you want to do. Vegas is pretty cheap, and the weather is good this time of year. Orlando or Daytona are other inexpensive options.
