Because they are. Anybody that feels their religion is the 'one and only way' is of course arrogant.

Being certain of the truth God has given to us will often be considered arrogant to non Christians. Even if we try to be sincere as we can about it. This second part is a message to other Christians. When discussing Christianity with a person like the one asking the question make sure you are sincere and that you are doing it out of love and respect. Not because you just want to show how you are right and they are wrong. Your message will still get rejected sometimes but then that is to be expected. Don't let the rejection come though because of YOU.

Some people mistake a Christian speaking Truth in Love as arrogance.

InTheWater,
Many feel "safe" after they become Christians and easily forget where they have been and how easy it is to slide back into the lost state that they were in as before. Being Humble is difficult for some after their conversion and it seems that they are pushed that direction rather than to teach others as CHRIST told us to do in Matthew 28:18-20 (The Great Commission). Have a great LORD'S DAY!
Thanks,

Most? I don't think so. Some? Definitely, but no more than other people. Within any given population there will always be a percentage that will be arrogant, or humble, or ignorant, or any of the traits that make up the human psyche.

Well when a bunch of guys get together, godless or not. Then decided to tell everyone else what the "true god" likes and does not like, it kinda looks like they're just telling us what they like and saying we should run with it or get smote.

But it does not end there. After saying God hates Jews, Blacks, Indians, gays, non-Christians and pretty much 98.9% of the rest of world, they go on to start telling you some really psychedelic stuff. Apparently there is no more than one God, but three of him at once. That's like automatic kaleidoscopic vision!

I'm going to fall back, but to summarise Christian’s are pretty much the I-think-I-know-it-all kid in class who can scream out all types of stuff that doesn’t make sense even though God(the teacher) hasn't verified anything yet.

From what i have seen it is because they are pushed real far for their beliefs. Like when they are "accused" or something for being Christians and they come off all high and mighty defending themselves. Some just believe they are right and everyone else is wrong but there are a lot of those people.

Most? Not the ones I know. The most vocal ones are indeed arrogant. Those that actually do follow the teachings are very humble and quiet. You never hear about them.

That's one of the problems we have in a text-only forum such as this. Sincerity, confidence, assurance, and other traits may seem pushy or arrogant to someone who sees only the words, not the hearts or faces behind the words.

I ask your forgiveness if "guilty as charged!" Believe me, I knew what I left behind when I trusted Christ as my Savior, and wish so many more would and could know the joy and peace He gives. At my age and station of life, I've seen so many go through what they didn't have to, and would like to see more bypass the mistakes of others. One preacher said, you don't have to wallow in the mud for yourself because hogs like to do it.

I believe some of us have aquired a "We're all ready saved, and forgiven, so who cares?" attitude, thus it comes off as arrogance.

However, we are not immune to God's punishment, so I believe we need to once more become humbled, like in the days when the Christianity was just starting out.

I ask of God to help all of his children, Christian and not, to help us become more of a humble people, so that we may not make our neighbor feel less than.

You're thinking of fundamentalists, most Christians aren't arrogant. I'm a Christian and I'm not arrogant or preachy at all.
