i see nothing wrong with it. If two people that aren't related love each other they should be able to have a marriage like straight people. Is it really going to change your lifestyle if gay people can marry? i mean come on i think the people that r against gay marriage only because the bible says God doesnt like it should just stop bothering other people and they should control their own lives.

Thats what I think. My grandma is an old fashion christian and says mean things about homosexulas all the time. I see nothing wrong with it. If two want to do something together then why should people have a problem with it? It's their life. I mean I'm a cristian, I go to church, I read the bible and stuff but I don't listen to the bible all the time. People think that they are sapouse to hate people just because they are gay because god sapousaly dose not like it. The way I see it if being gay was agensted god then people would not be gay.

Why do some Christians? Guess I just assumed it was all Christians, because of what the bible says about homosexuality being a sin. Or maybe the ones who are in the group of Christians accepting gay marriage are ones who are gay, but that's a whole different issue. I see nothing wrong with gay marriage and I wish it was more accepted, and legal in all states. But it will happen eventually. Gay programs are all over TV, so it's only a matter of time. And about people loving each other who aren't related - cousins can get married LEGALLY in 26 states. Shocking, right? Check the link I've provided. And if I could, I'd put a rainbow flag right here * No, I'm not gay, but I don't fear it or disapprove of it.

I say it's fine if they hate same sex marriage... they can believe what they want. However, I think it's stupid that ANYONE tries to mix their religion with the government and tries to control people's free will just because their religion says so. If we lived in an all-Muslim or Buddhist state (theoretically...) Jesus would be a sin and a crime!! How would them Christians feel then... how would they feel if their number one love was considered immoral by the majority and was forbidden. Well... that's the same way gay people feel when you tell them they can't marry each other! Hate us all you want... but don't tell us what we can or not do!

(you're alright, though... I'm kinda directing myself to the bigots)

Because I love Jesus. The book is an account to what Jesus has done for us. There's a bigger picture here. It's not about one particular sin, it's about coming to agreement that you and I are but a little speck of sand on an ocean beach, a wisp of smoke gone with the wind. Man lives about 75 years on the earth, it's a short life, and when you get to the end of your life, what will you say if you stand in front of the one who created you?
It says, only a fool has said there is no God. I cannot sit here and sound credible and sane and rational..... it's impossible becuase it also says in the BIble that the word of God is foolishness to those who are perishing, or don't believe... BUT, what else can I say? We can talk and talk, but God is the only one who can bring anyone to repentance and belief. I can't make you or anyone else believe in God or that homosexulaity is a sin.... I just say it, and God pulls you in..... and if he doesn't, then it's you who are rejecting him, not the other way around...
Whether you like it or not we are all accountable to the one who made us..... are you greater than the Big Bang, or Evolution, or God? If creation says a round peg should fit in the round hole, who are we to try and fit a sqaure peg in that round hole? Are we going to change 2+2 and make it equal to 9.87?? Same with man and woman..... who are we to go against design?
It says in the Bible also that becuase of sin everything is messed up and backwards. Jesus is the only way out, and it's all about the soul, the flesh profits nothing. Our bodies are going to die, but the spirit will live on. DOn't let your body take your soul down with it.
Do you realize that you will be held accountable for everything you do while you are alive? You will be judged, and what will have to say for yourself?
DO you also realize that every prediction in the Bible has come true? Israel became a nation again in 1945. Also that the Book of Isaiha predicted the coming of Jesus hundreds of years later, and that science has proven that Isaiha pre-dates the New Testament, so there is no way that they could have cheated!
You should also know that "Faith" is key. God protects the integrity of faith, that's why it seems that God hides himself from us, but if we are bold enough to take the leap of faith and beleive in Jesus, I promise you will see the truth! Like I said, sounds foolish to you, but not to me.... I am living it, and I am in it, it is real, and I see clearly now.
We are accountable, and what we do DOES affect others around us.

The practice of homosexuality is destructive to the human soul and God gave His warnings about this in the Bible. Supporting gay marriage is a sin because it means to support homosexuality. If a nation legalizes gay marriage, that nation will be cursed.

Iniquities (sinful tendencies) pass down the generation line if they are not removed by the Blood of the Lord Jesus. Homosexuality is caused by iniquity and the Blood of Jesus cleanses the iniquities of all who accept Him as their Saviour.

After a person accepts the Lord Jesus as their Saviour, they are transformed and made a new creature in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17). So the gay person would be changed and so would the alcoholic, liar, drug addict, fornicator etc. It's the power of the Blood of Christ and the Holy Spirit in the believer that brings about this transformation.

REDEMPTION BY GRACE THROUGH FAITH

Because mankind is incapable of meeting God’s standard of perfection necessary to abide in God’s presence (Romans 3:19-20,23), God sent His Son Jesus Christ to pay the total debt for the believer’s sins and mercifully credits to his account Christ’s righteousness (Romans 3:21-28,5:1-11; 2 Corinthians 5:18-21). Jesus’ gracious act of atonement was complete and covers all sin (Colossians 2:13-14; 1 John 1:9). Salvation is not based on good deeds but according to the mercy of God (Titus 3:4-5). Believers are justified by faith; it is a gift by God’s grace (Romans 4:3-8; Ephesians 2:8-9). A true, living faith will result in a desire to live a holy, loving life of good works (Ephesians 2:10; Galatians 5:6; James 2:14-26), but failure to be absolutely successful at righteous living does not negate the believer’s justified status.

If you sincerely say this prayer, your sins will be washed away, you will be redeemed to God, be saved from eternal torment and inherit the Kingdom of God:

"Dear Jesus,

I am a sinner.
I repent of my sins.
Please forgive me and save me by your shed blood;
come into my heart.
I want to receive you as my own personal Lord and Savior.

Amen"

Its about love not gender. To the christian poster (sorry I can't remember your UN anymore), your religion doesn't affect people who don't believe it. Therefore you should leave people alone who don't believe what you do. Love is LOVE!!

Don't you think it is just enough for a Christian to hate something God hates and to love something that He loves? If God hates same sex marriage it is only fitting that Christians do.

Correction...all (not some) Christians are against homosexual marriage. Those who aren't, are not real Christians.
