Before you make this recipe make sure you read about the health issues surrounding salt substitutes and MSG. And, if you are serving this to guests, make sure none of them are on high blood pressure medication, or at least ask them about whether they can have this. This is an obviously older recipe used a while back and before there was a concern about some of these ingredients. I think you could get the same taste/flavor with healthier ingredients.

MSG which is monosodium glutamate can be found with the brand name Accent; it can be found in the grocery store. The potassium chloride is a medication, I think. Either way, this recipe sounds deadly for someone with high blood pressure.

Potassium chloride is a salt substitute that should be able to be found in most grocery stores, near the salt and pepper. It likely isn't labelled "Porassium Chloride" but more like....lower sodium salt...check the label.
I don't usually see MSG in most grocery stores, but have in Asian food markets, again...with the spices...

Try www.bulkfoods.com. They have every food additive you would ever want. I know they have MSG, I bet they'd have potassium chloride too.

Look in pretty much any grocery store on the aisle with spices. Find the brand name Accent. That should be what you are looking for. It's usually got a red label with white writing, I believe.
