My dog recently goes up to random people, usually first or second time visitors and pees on them! He never ever pees anywhere else except outside. I tried to stop him from jumping on the persons leg to do it, but even without his preferred position he still pees! Like I said it doesn't happen all the time. He is one years old and just started having this problem! I don't know what to do because I can't predict when he does it! What do I do?!?! HELP!

SERIOUS ANSWERS ONLY PLEASE! No more haha LOL ROTFLMA comments. I get the point you guys think its funny, but your laughs do not answer my question!
My dog was neutered. He is almost a year old. He is extremely well trained, he is a competing athletic dog in fact! BUT he has a problem with peeing on certain people. It is usually first are second time visitors even if he just went outside! He doesn't get excited, he just stands up on their leg and pees. It has only happened 4 times but only within the last couple weeks! He has never done this before! I haven't been doing anything differently, and all of his other behavior is still regular. What is causing him to do this, and how can I stop it?

Yeah I agree that's gross. That's submissive peeing though. One of my neighbors dogs does that, luckily not on me.
Ask your vet what you can do about it.
Plan B, doggie diapers... kidding.

I have some family friends' who own a dog and the dog is five or six years old now. He still pees when he gets really excited. What we do when we go over to this family friends' house is take him outside so that he can let loose on the sidewalk or the grass.

A well-trained dog makes everyone happy, including his owner. Take a little time training him, and you'll never regret it; you'll always have an obedient dog by your side. Find more https://tinyurl.im/82ljP
By their nature, dogs are pack animals with a well-defined social order. Through basic training, you need to consistently make sure your puppy understands that you are the leader, not him. So in teaching him the basic rules, you take on the role of pack leader.
To fit into the family circle, your dog must be taught to recognize his name and such commands as come, heel, lie down and sit.

LOL. Your dog thinks it's the Alpha and is marking your visitors as part of his territory. You need rehabilitation, because he also thinks he's in charge of you. You're doing things that aren't letting him know you're in charge of the house--you're treating him too much like a human and not enough like dog that needs to know its place.
Check out the Dog Whisperer site and watch out, because he's gonna start peeing on you next if you don't subordinate him.

It's a dominant thing. When another dominant dog smells the mark of another dog, he'll pee on top of it. If the dog is a submissive dog, he'll pee beside it.

It is very difficult to train a dog if you do not have the proper dog training equipment. The right piece of equipment, when properly fitted, helps aid in communication between you and your pet.
Leather Dog Collars, Harnesses, and Leashes
Basic training equipment that every owner needs is a leather dog collar and a dog leash. When you are placing the collar on your pet, you will want to make sure that it is snug enough that it won't slide over your dog's head should they balk, but it isn't so tight that it is restricts their ability to breathe.
Every time you put the collar on your dog, you need to check the fit. Puppies grow, and older dogs can gain and lose weight as well, which will also impact how the collar fits. In addition to making sure that the collar fits properly, you will want to check to make sure that the buckle isn't showing signs of strain, that the stitching is good, and that the leather hasn't developed dry rot.
Many people also like to have a leather dog harness for their dog. Many dog owners feel that a dog harness is more secure, and also provides better control than a traditional dog collar. The harness allows you to move the dog's entire torso, as opposed to simply jerking on the neck when you need the dog to stop or heel.
Knowing How to Properly Use Dog Training Equipment
Knowing the type of equipment that you need is only part of the dog training experience. You also need to know how to properly use it. The best way to make sure that you are using the equipment properly is by signing up for a dog obedience course.
The great thing about dog obedience courses is that you will be working with someone who knows how dog training equipment works, and they will also be able to offer tips and suggestions about what you can do when you and your pet seem to be having communication issues. It is important to note that if you have a pet that tends to be aggressive, whether towards other dogs or people, the instructor might suggest that your dog wear a dog muzzle. This will allow the other dog owners in the surrounding environment to feel more secure, and may also prevent the outbreak of a fight from ensuing between your dog and other dogs in the class.
Advanced Dog Training Options
As your pet gets older, you may decide to explore more training options. Once a dog has mastered basic obedience, there are several different options available to you. Some people decide that they want to teach their puppy how to move through obstacles, and then later go on to compete in agility classes.
Some people even decide to learn more about having their dog certified to be a search and rescue dog. If you decide that you want to pursue a specific type of advanced dog training, you will be required to purchase additional dog training equipment that is applicable for your specific needs.
The exact type of equipment that you and your dog will need will depend on the type of training you pursue. For example, if you are hoping to utilize your dog as a means of protection, chances are highly likely that any attack dog training equipment that you will need will be entirely different from the majority of the training tools that you would purchase for agility training.
When you have the proper dog training tools, and have been educated about how they should be used in the proper manner, you will find that training your canine family member is much easier than you would expect.

My mom's dog does this too, and he's more than a year old. He gets too excited and can't help it. When I come over I hold him down so he pees on the ground instead of on me. After he calms down he looses the urge to pee. You just have to control his excitement.

As a professional dog trainer for over 16 years, I have to tell you my strong opinion that you need these group classes for obedience training. http://OnlineDogTraining.enle.info/?NEO3
Other pet warehouses are there to get you to buy their products and hang around their strore. And their trainers are their employees...never forget they have an agenda. Most of the trainers have very little education--if they had actual training and skills they wouldn't be there making just over minimum wage--trust me on this. But even if they did have experience and talent...a group setting is a terrible place for learning to take place. It's distraction training and it is the LAST phase of training not the first. You wouldn't have your child try to do their homework in a toy store, would you? Of course not...the level of distraction would be too high! It's the same with dogs. Having said that, these classes can be an excellent way to socialize dogs...but not to train them. And while they appear to be cheaper than a professional trainer...you have to attend many more sessions to get the same results because of the poor learning environment--so you wind up spending MORE money for less training than you would with a professional. Save your money and go to someone who actually knows how to train dogs. OR, read books and try to train your dog yourself. There is nothing they train at a Petsmart or Petco that you can't do yourself with a couple of hours of reading.

Yeah! He peeing on fools. Pissin', taking a leak, whatever you choose. Dang, never laughed like that in days. I'd like to help you, but I'd hate to get pissed on.
Okay, okay...I...Let me..lemme get myself together. Hard to think...laughing and stuff...Firstly observe your dog as it's taking a...well bathroom break. If it's got a mean face or generally a "I don't give a damn" look on it, it's probably doing it on purpose...wait..hold up..I just got an image of a guy getting pissed on in my head...Alright..So if it's intentional then you're gonna have to start giving out a butt whoopin' every now and then. If however it's something otherwise, not to be a jerk but you really shouldn't be asking some internet guys like us, go to the vet. Now....just don't let him get peed on. Now let me die laughing!

sorry, best advice i can give is to train him not to do that. Talk to your vet about programs that offer such help. I kno this seems cruel but really it is the only way. If your dog begins to do that to someone, you have to throw water on him. I kno its mean, but he learns from it to not do it again, my friend did this, and their dog whenever they got a hose they made sure he saw it, and he knew better, and just went on the grass instead of someone.
