Happiness is a choice you make.

Choose to be happy, regardless of the negativity around you.

Try try and try again... But i believe that a few things get in the way of being truly happy all the time... the following is a small list....

1. Stub your toe
2. Have your hands tied and have your nose itch
3. Mexican food/water diareeha
4. one full week without sex... when you are used to every night... .
5. Someone you know has to eventually die in some tragic way...
6. Someone pees in your cherrios....

Life might seem simple and simplistic... you might start out and convince yourself that all is well and even if you have one of the above happen you might not be phased... simply because you lean on a god or someone for support so completely that you give all things over to them... But one day you will feel god is gone and all happiness will melt away...
or your spouse leaves you... and the world shatters... everything can't be perfect all the time... and if you have to find a way to cope........ that way isn't going to be 100 percent full proof....... so there is going to come a day when you find the whole in the armor....

I think the only way to be happy all the time is not to understand the pain of sadness and real emotion... i believe that there are those with disabilities that can't completly experience pain, so they can be happy all the time... However, for the rest of us.... feeling is everything........

With lithium and Prozac, anything is possible. Just ask those random surburban white middle-class housewives you see that cheeze like poster children for clown school during their 2 year olds 19th meltdown of the day in the middle of the supermarket. Better yet, while she is distracted, raid her purse and grab a few pills.

nope. Your brain in general is specialized in detecting changes not constant states.
Even if you take drugs of any kind, you'd have to take more and more as your brain "adapts" to the presence of the drugs.
Sorry, its neurobiology.
Some people are happier than others though. That's the glass half full/half empty idea.

If you are hungry a piece of bread can make you happy. If you just are full of ice cream or lobster most likely not.

PAUL SAID IN ALL THINGS HE IS INSTRUCTED TO BE FULL AND TO SUFFER NEED. TO KNOW HOW TO ABASE AND ABOUND AND WHATSOEVER STATE HE FIND HIMSELF IN TO BE CONTENT. SO IN BEING FULL AND SUFFERING NEED THEIR MY BE TIMES WHEN EMOTIONS ARE HIGH AND LOW. EVEN JESUS WEPT. I DON'T THINK BEING HAPPY ALL THE TIME MAY BE POSSIBLE BUT HAVING THE JOY OF THE LORD IS POSSIBLE. JOY IS A FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT AND DOES NOT WORK OF EMOTIONS BUT FROM THE SPIRIT OF GOD.
