I dont believe in reincarnation, and I reconcile it with Hebrews 9:27 as showing those who believe in reincarnation the error of their ways by stating that you can only die once

Reincarnation works with karma, the idea that your past lives "goodness" or "badness" affects the quality and position of your next incarnation. The purpose of reincarnation is to help you develop perfect karma by which you might then achieve a union with the divine consciousness after you have learned whatever it is you are supposed to learn. The problem is that each person had a first incarnation. That means that each person then had perfect Karma since he had no previous life and had done nothing wrong. Therefore, if he had perfect Karma and didn't learn or do what he was supposed to in his first life, then what makes him think that after hundreds of incarnations with accumulated bad karma that he will be able to achieve the perfect state of union with the divine consciousness that reincarnation moves him toward? It doesn't make any sense.

I am Christian , and no, the bible does not support the reincarnation idea. Hebrews 9:27 means exactly what it says.

Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
Once you are dead, the next conscious thought will be the RESURRECTION, not reincarnation!!! The Bible speaks STRICTLY about a Judgment and a Resurrection.
GOD bless

Another example of 'reincarnation' within the pagani hebrew tradition and Christianity is that 'Elijah' is prophesied to herald the messiah. Malachi 4:5 'prophesy', Matthew 11:14 and Mattheew 17:12 in which "jesus' claims john the baptist HAS Elijah's spirit within him.

My belief system (Wicca) strongly calls upon the theory of reincrnation and the afterlife to be true.
However, I believe in the Unknown. It has not been proven what happens when we pass on, so why believe it?
And then there comes the thing where things don't have to be seen to be believed.
In this sense, due to the hubbub it causes, I think I would prefer to be a realist.
I just thought I'd add to some of the Christians who think only their belief is right: DON'T BE PREACHY! THAT'S WHAT PRIESTS ARE FOR! (So us Witches can give 'em a good behind-whupping! Kidding!)

Yes I do. To me there can only be two possibilities; no after life or reincarnation. For me the trials we endure, the differences between the most retched and the most privileged can only be explained by one of those two choices. I choose to believe there is an afterlife and it includes reincarnation.

Yes. I also call myself a Christian, so stick that in your pipe and smoke it. I believe in reincarnation because of a number of experiences that I've had over my life. If I told you the whole story, it would sound pretty weird. In the Bible, it makes many references to heaven. "As is it on earth, so shall it be in Heaven", so on and so forth. Born-again Christians believe in literally being born again into Christianity. So, Christians believe in different planes of existence. Heaven, Hell, and the Catholics have purgatory. Not good, not bad. Purgatory is so-so! Like being bored for eternity (or living in Wisconsin, whichever comes first I guess). So there you go!

Yep.
I never though about reconciling it with the Bible. It is a historical book, and written by humans, so therefore it was human flaws of discrepencies, assumptions, and I find it incrediabley biased at times. Hang on let me get my Bible right quick...............okay lets find Hebrews.......hmm, don't see it-oh, there it is! Okay,..........oh, intresting, and so it became destined that men shall only die once! Interesting, but technically speaking if your are living and you die than you only die once in this life, but I believe as I do, perhaps my soul just hasn't caught up to the times yet! *LOL*
As I said though, that is a human writing the book, not God, and I haven't suffered because of my belief in reincarnation, so obviously I am right about me. *phubt*
