I got one for you sweetie! This will sure win over the BF and the roomies!!!!

Every time I make these cookies, they are gone within a day. You can make them crisp or chewy. I guarantee everyone will love them. For even better results, use a baking stone, they're great!

INGREDIENTS
1 cup shortening
1 cup white sugar
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons cream of tartar

DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a large bowl, cream together the shortening and white sugar. beat in the eggs one at a time then stir in the vanilla. Combine the flour, baking soda and cream of tartar; stir into the sugar mixture to form a dough. On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough out to 1/4 inch in thickness. Cut into desired shapes with cookie cutters. Place cookies 1 1/2 inches apart onto cookie sheets.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.

I have found the easiest way to make cookies, and they taste AWESOME. This may be old news to some, but I make mine with boxed cake mix. I don't add any of the water, and I add one less egg than the recipe calls for and 1/2 the oil. Bake at 350^ for 8 - 10 minutes. They are so good, and you can make just about any kind of cookie this way. There are so many variaties of cakes, and so many things you can add in. Be creative. Add nuts or chocolate chips or coconut. Orange cake with chocolate chips are good. Vanilla cake with dried cranberries.

My best hint for any kind of cookies is to use parchment paper! Much better than oil or cooking spray.

These PB&J cookies are absolutely amazing. When I make them everyone raves about them. I use grape instead of strawberry, but you can use anything.
