Yes this is true. We are to love our neighbors as ourselves. ALL our neighbors.

Depends on your boyfriend's definition of bigot, I'd guess. If he's calling the "love the sinner, hate the sin" crowd bigoted, then he might want to recall Jesus' words to the adultress, "Go and sin no more." They are some of Jesus' most important words to all of us.
He didn't say it wasn't a sin, or to go ahead and have fun however she defined it, he told her to knock it off, but everyone else not to kill her for it. He didn't say to ignore it, just to not stone her to death.
Since Jesus perfected Judaism (if you're Christian, this is what the teaching is) and in so doing created Christianity, anything NOT mentioned as being changed from the old law, either in "oral or written tradition", is retained. Since nowhere does it mention that the law against "laying with" someone of the same sex is different now, it isn't. So, in short, stealing is still wrong, murder is still wrong, coveting is still wrong, homosexual acts are still wrong, adultery is still wrong. Some of these are obviously more immediately harmful to ourselves and others, but all are wrong. We aren't to go around stoning people though. *grin*

What does he think were Jesus's most important words? If he is referring to "Love your neighbor as yourself" then no...anti-gay bigots are not following Jesus. Another important thing Jesus said was "Don't judge". Again the answer would be that they aren't following Him. In fact, I don't recall a single time in the Bible that Jesus said it was alright for one human to judge, condemn, or ostracize another. It isn't the place for a human. God also views all sin as the same (and yes the Bible does say that homosexual acts are sin). So in His eyes, if you've told a lie, you are just as guilty as someone who has lived a life of homosexual sin or someone who has murdered. If you break one part of His law, you break all of it. So the anti-gay bigots who have taken it upon themselves to determine the correct way to live are just as sinful if not more so than homosexuals. One of my best friends is gay. While I might not believe his lifestyle is following God, he is more Christ-like in his actions than some Christians I have been around. These anti-gay bigots need to put their money where their mouth is and stop judging others instead of welcoming them with open arms into Christ-like compassion and love. We're all in the same boat on this earth and condemning each other really serves no purpose.

FACT: There is no metion of Jesus's view on homosexuals or homosexuality in the enitre bible.
There is alot of great messages though of peace and acceptance, and turning the other cheek. These hateful people are perverting the word of Jesus and God to serve their own agenda.

Well, Christ went to places where the holier-than-thou pharisees would never dream of going, and I can only imagine some of society's less savory people were there, so the point is if He didn't condemn them, who the hell am I to do so?
Mr Lucid's answer is quite humorous.

Was this question just a set up for atheist machine's answer?
If you are serious, I'd say yes, because Jesus said to love others, not to judge, and to treat others as we want to be treated. That doesn't mean that Jesus said "Go sin up a storm" but it doesn't mean we get to bash people, either.

Does your boyfriend read the bible and go to church? Has he ever read the bible through? Am I supposed to believe in your boyfriend now for salvation? You need to give more information. What are Jesus' most important words? Can you repeat any of them?

men who are anti-gay to extreme are having a problem with their own sexuality. Men mentally have very real fears and sexual conflict that they haven't resolved or can't in their younger years. You have to be VERY secure about your sexuality in order to live and let live in this area. Forget about following Jesus these guys can't figure which path to take to get out of the woods.

No, it's not. The Bible directly teaches against homosexuallity. The Bible says hate the sin, but love the sinner.

Jesus' words were basically "Love yourself and Love God" and "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."
There's also the "Don't judge lest ye be judged" thing.
Jesus spoke NOTHING about hating anyone! If Jesus were to hate anyone, I think it would be the 'tards who carry out the most evil acts of violence, bigotry, and other forms of hate in His name.
