Has anyone heard this one? A previous answerer said this but I'd never heard this.

I know there's a lot of erroneous things floating around about what is or isn't poisonous to dogs, but I think I know the fact from the fiction.

I have never seen any kind of melon on any list of dangerous foods for dogs, plus I always share with my dogs with no problems at all.
I don't think melon is one bit dangerous.

Here is a site from the SPCA. It says specifically that melons are NON_TOXIC to dogs. Look under "Common Non Toxic Food Plants"

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://tinyurl.im/GyLxJ

A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.

You trying to say something?! :)

I have never heard melon to be harmful to dogs. As a matter of fact, I know of one Melon that causes one Border Collie to get extensive training and guidance to being a good, well mannered pet! Nope, Melon is not bad for dogs :)

I found a site that states that Melon is not poisonous.

Here it is. It is under Common Nontoxic Food Plants

http://www.aspca.org/site/DocServer/Wallis-Tox_Brief-May_VT_05.Pdf?docID=4702

I hope this helps.

Here is a list that I have found not long ago with foods that could make a dog sick.

Melon is not on the list and I checked into it and it is safe for dogs.

Don't know about melon but i do know there are a lot of things poisonous to dogs. onions for 1. My mastiff ate an onion once. He bloated and his intestines flipped and he had to have surgery. I would call the vet or humane society and get a list.
