theirselves for stupid things; One night stands, affairs, premarital sex, etc...I dont understand how it happened, i guess, is all.
I'm going to be 20 in July; Never smoked/ drank/ chewed once, am still a virgin (and will be), and, sadly, never had a gf, either..dont do wild parties, etc....am i the only one? It seems that way.
I'm just wordering if its my morals or my looks that hurt my chances of getting a decent girl. o_O

I do go to church, and theres this girl that i talk to fairly often there, but I'm confused as to how she feels...I'm starting at the same school in the spring, so i guess we'll see then...
And to the last poster, i dont think Im "superior" to anyone, i just think there's a lot to be said for people that actually have standards.. o_O

If I died tommorrow, i wouldnt wonder about anything. Not only because I'd be dead, but because I'm not discontent with the way I'm living, personally.

Nice to know there ARE decent guys around still.
My dtr is 19 - has only had one serious relationship (that came from a friendship) - he dumped her and left her brokenhearted..such is life.
A year later (it took her that long to get over the jerk!) she met a guy (21 yr old), who seemed nice enough- shared similar interests, was keen on getting to know her & maybe start a relationship . They went out a few times, she went to his for tea - and that was it! He stopped msg, calling talking...WT?? I can only think it's becoz she is also still a virgin - she didn't "put out" so he lost interest....he wanted more than she was ready to give (they had only known each other 3 weeks)
My heart aches for her - she is a pretty girl, self confident, intelligent, independant, and fun loving - she likes to party sometimes (is not a clubber)...so what's wrong with her??
Does she scare the guys off with her "no sex" attitude??
I hope she meets the right guy soon, as I'm sure she's starting to wonder the same things I am - and I'm worried where that may take her !!

Well, Dan, I have to commend you for sticking to your guns. Being moral and keeping your body sacred is not easy these days, and it's an admiral trait. Don't smoke, I smoke. Smoking sucks when you get older. Don't drink, it's addictive. A little grass couldn't hurt you though. Anyway, as a woman, you are the kinda dude women tend to stay away from, because like attracts like, and you are a rare person. I don't think with such a strong moral backround that you will be able to easily find someone that is compatable with you, honestly speaking. Your standards are very high, and it would be hard for ANYONE to live up to that. I'm a person that doesn't sleep with "just anybody", I don't drink "all the time", and I smoke once in a blue moon. You could probably find someone and live with that, maybe. I'm speaking in terms of a long-term relationship, mind you. I guess what I'm saying is, don't hold the bar too high so that no one can get over. You'll miss so much, and regret so much. I'm not saying you should break your code of moral conduct, I think morals are REALLY important, just don't isolate yourself. That's not healthy. If you don't have "girlfriends", have friends that are girls, or try to. It'll help you understand how women think, make you not look gay (I'm just being real and helpful), and help you relax around the opposite sex. I think you can find a girl Dan, in short. Just take my advice, I'm a woman, and a picky one at that. I know what women look at when sizing up a guy. You can tell a lot about a book by it's cover. If a book has a whale on it, chances are it's "Moby Dick". You have to at least look kinda cute, just so you're aware. Don't go around looking like Urkle, mmkay? Good luck guy!

I wonder the same thing too. The reason why you haven't had a girlfriend yet is because there are fewer and fewer women out there that hold the same moral values that you do. Don't worry about. If you give it time, the wait will be worth it. But don't be surprised if you come in contact with a lot of fake ones, people who act like they have morals and when they get you close, show you that they are not moral at all.

Don't hold your morals superior to others. You will only hurt your chances of getting a decent girl if you believe you are more pure than her. I've never smoked, drank, had sex but I still feel a little intimidated by you. Be more open! : )
Sure you feel superior. you just called one night stands, affairs, premarital sex, etc.. Stupid, didn't you. And you just said that no one has any morals anymore. How do you know one night standers, cheaters, don't have morals?
Maybe I shouldn't have said superior. I meant that you think you are more right. Who are you to judge people for that?

There are other ppl like you, but you don't hear about them. You just hear about wild celebrities. If you don't mind going to church, go there. You might have better interaction in Sunday School (yeah, they have classes for college students and young adults, not just small children). Some churches also have social groups for young adults. BTW, there used to be a time (no not the 1800s) where you were SUPPOSED to be a virgin til you got married.

You're not the only one who's "straight edge" like that. Never compromise your own morals just because of what you see around you. If you're looking for a girl that shares these same traits, seriously consider meeting people through church...if you're not religious, then try meeting people have the same hobbies as you. You'll find someone, and if you're halfway attractive, they'll fall for you.

I think what happens is people get tired of always doing the right thing and want to take a walk on the wild side. Eventually most people will go back to their morals. They just want to see if the grass is greener on the other side.

I wish I could say I'm still a virgin, I'm proud of you. People have forgot to keep their eyes on Jesus Christ, and all that he stood for. Which are the morals of this life. I don't know if you knew this or not, in Gods eyes if you have sex with someone your married to them, sex before marriage if fornication.

I was the same way. I found that i was not happy. Life is toooooo freakin short for me to wonder what if i did this.. I would like to experience things and take risk. If i die tomorrow i want to die being satisified. Happy that i did this and said that. I dont want to wonder all the time i want to find out for my self. Thats why im not like you anymore. Sounds crazy huh? Think about it!! If you died tomorrow, you would have died wondering

You have more chance of meeting someone with morals like that.
I can't stand it how people just give away their dignity just like that, it's so not worth it, life is better doing right things than doing things that are really bad
