It doesn't really matter what you put in it. Its bound to be a lot better than the current one.

First, earn a BA in Bible,
then a Masters of Divinity and a Doctorate in some science like Paleography or Ancient Hebrew.
Then join the American Bible Society or the United Bible Societies.
With hundreds of other scholars and under peer review you will translate what is already there, consulting dusty papyri and the work of your colleagues and predecessors on other translations.
Finally toward the end of your long professional career you can write reference volumes on the science like Bruce Metzger's Commentary on the Textual Transmission of the Greek New Testament. I hope I remember the title correctly.

I sure hope that you are up to speed on your Hebrew and Greek. There is no way that you can create a new version of the Bible unless you have a working knowledge of both.

Before you rewrite the bible I would advise you to read the last chapter in revelations.

18 I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. 19And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.

The Catholic church has been around since Jesus walked the Earth at which point Jesus made Peter the "rock" of the church. The Catholic bible has not changed the King James Version that most christians study was revised by KING JAMES

You should contact the JW's, Mormons or the Catholics. They are great at changing the Word of God by adding, subtracting, placing their traditions, other books and literature, pope, organizations, church, and false prophets equal to or above the bible.
