PERISH !!!!!
2Pe 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

books were written in and around the time of Revelation and they all claimed to be prophetic. The difference between them and the book of revelation is the the outset, I JOHN, while on the island of patmos for the testimony of Jesus Christ. from there the book then begins to lay out a systematic redemption of the earth from the devil.
now that we have established that the book of revelation alone is biblical, we will move on.
If you will be intellectually honest, and look up Jesus speaking, where he uses the word hell. He uses that word more than anyone esle 22 times if i recall. He says hell is a place of suffering and he reminds the people that in hell you will remember every chance at salvation you blew. He actually says it is a worm that will feed on you. how horrible.
the other place that you can find, and this is made on the basis of an appeal to authority. God is holy. The bible talks about people dying in their sin. if they die in their sin then they are unable to be in the presence of God and therefore they can only be in hell.
you do not have to believe in hell, you can believe what you want but I would suggest you find out if the bible is trustworthy in other areas and then decide on the hell issue
by the way, good question. but if you will look at the books that appeared at the time of Revelation, they all fail in doctrinal areas.

Not everything is quoted in scripture. Often it is given through inference. You have to reason it out--think it through. The soul of the human being cannot be killed, cannot die--even though there is a scripture that says if God wanted to HE COULD kill the soul. But no, the soul and spirit are eternal. Hence the logic is, at the White Throne Judgment where God says, "those not found in the book of life are thrown into Gehenna," the soul lives on forever there.
In putting together doctrine Peter says line upon line, precept upon precept--here a little, there a little.
And I highly disagree with the opinion concerning the Book of Revelation written by John. I have heard of no controversy about its authenticity. I deem it as one of the more important books in the New Testament outside of the Gospels and have trouble comprehending the language.

There are several passages concerning eternal life in the Bible. The first thing a person must do is accept Jesus Christ as their Personal Saviour. There are so many religions in the world that it is hard for people to understand it completely until they've read the Bible. We as people are born into sin. Adam and Eve originally sinned in the Garden of Eden when they decided to eat the forbidden fruit. Only through Jesus dying on the cross are we able to be forgiven. It is called, "Blood Atonement." I have studied many religions (Mormanism, Catholicism, Buddism, etc.) It is my belief that there is only one person we should worship-God. Revelation is not symbolic. It is like a map to what the future has in store for us. AIDS, War, and 911 all point to the fact that the end is near. When that will be? Nobody knows for sure. Being a Christian you must put your trust in God. Is that easy to do? No! I feel let down by God at times, but I know that he is testing me and to be obedient to what he desires for me. If I can help you out in any other way I'd be glad to do so.

This depends on whether you mean a hell as in fire and brimstone, or a hell as in departed from the eternal grace of God.
The former, I think Revelations is it. The latter, it's spread throughout the Bible, in the idea that those who are not in heaven are thus by default in hell, whether that's non-existence, or existing in some form without the love of God.
Also, quite honestly, Revelations sounds like the journal of a drug trip.

To those who know the Bible, Revelation has never been considered something not to be in the Bible. In fact, it was worded as is to throw off those who would imprison or kill those spreading the word many say.
There are verses that explain what happens to those who do certain things, see Luke 12:5 for one, about casting into hell. There are several others, look them up.

No, you won't think of that for the duration of any respect. Why no longer interpret 'what God did to him' as punishment particularly than as a foretaste of damnation !!! Whom he loves He chastises. keep in mind ? besides, I constantly hesitate because of the fact of "“With what diploma you diploma, so shall or no longer it is measured to you." I even have extremely probable been as depraved and that i do no longer want my words sealing my destiny : "by ability of your guy or woman words you would be condemned" -- Jesus

Nowhere. It is all in the interpretation. The whole idea of hell was never a biblical idea. It was made up by certain groups to scare their followers.
