I am a single lady, really wanting to become the other half of a couple. I had conversations with two male friends this past weeks which made me to ask - what is wrong with me.
The first one just got married and then he said, "well, I always thought you were the one for me but you told me you had a boyfriend". Thing is, I liked him but never knew he liked me too and I didnt even have a boyfriend, so why did I say I did?
I said to the second chap as I have known him for over 2 years now " you know I always liked you but didnt let you know because I am older than you". I met him where I used to work and he came in as an intern and he laughed at me because he is actually 2 years older than me.So why was I so shy I didnt even try to befriend him.
Now I'm very single and miserable.
Please, how do I prevent such happening again?

You sound like me. We make bad mistakes and sometimes were aloof. :( The only thing that can save you is 1. Become more aware of other people and stop lying if you dont have a man say you dont and be real with him just say u dont have a man but not looking right now. i used to say i had a man to guys i was not interested in too.
also dont beat urself up. sometimes looking back u might not remember why u did stuff. maybe he gave u bad vibes and in time it wore off. u had to have a reason not to try to befriend him or to tell the other guy u had a man. maybe u were reallly interested in someone else or u were not attracted to him then.
all i know is what u can do is start giving a man a chance and see if u like him on the date. u cant diss a guy before u even get to know him.
plus trust ur judgment. even though u regret nto being with one of those guys now u didnt feel right then and thats good u followed it.
he will come along. be aware.

it all comes to she/he that waits,dont rush it there are plenty of no gooders out there too you know,your boat will come in soon enough.
