John 11:25 Then said Jesus unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: and
John 8:58 Jesus said unto them, Verily Verily, I say unto you
Before Abraham was I am. ? In several places Jesus says that he and God are one and the same. The one thing that I don't get is how could Jesus be a great prophet and the messiah unless he was a liar and if he was a liar then how can Muslims say he is a good prophet?

Also the Bible was written before the Koran and the Muslims like the Jews accept 5 books of the old testament.

If he was just a good prophet then why would he say he was the messiah...the one who was to come and knew the old testament? This would make him a liar. How can he be a lier and a good prophet?????????

CS Lewis said that there are three options:
Liar,
Lunatic, or
Lord.
I don't think the liar or lunatic option matches historical data.

I have lot to say. But for the time being let me tell you "Christian" was not a word used by Jesus (peace be upon him). The word Christian is mentioned only three times in the New Testament. The first time by pagans and Jewsin Antioch about year 43 A.C., long after Jesus had left this earth. Read in Acts 11:26: “...And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.” Later by King Agrippa II to Paul in Acts. 26:28: “Then Agrippasaid unto Paul, almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian.” So the name Christian was first given by foes rather than friends. And finally by Peter in his letter to comfort the faithful in I Peter 4:16: “Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed....” I read about this one day & on the following day I learned that even in Quran there is no "Christian" literal equivalent word like "Masihi" or "Isai" as some Muslims use. In Quran the word used is Nasara which do not indicate a separate religion from the preceding Prophets (peace be upon them). In Bible there are stories of prophets which insults them, accuses them wrongly. These are changes that have taken place. There are intentional and uninteional changes. These prophets were noble men that people were to take as example. Read Quran, even for five minutes and you will see the difference in your attitude.

Because Muslims believe that while earlier prophets like Moses and Jesus were preaching Allah's word their followers corrupted the message like making Jesus divine.

no jesus was not a liar! The churches are the ones who lied. They didnt want the jews to be part of their religion and didnt want them to accept jesus thats why they made him equal to God along with the holy spirit and started the holy trinity belief. And Jews, much like muslims, dont associate anyone else with God so thats why they dont accept Jesus. But muslims do........
4:171. O People of the Book! Commit no excesses in your religion: Nor say of Allah aught but the truth. Christ Jesus the son of Mary was an apostle of Allah, and His Word, which He bestowed on Mary, and a spirit proceeding from Him: so believe in Allah and His apostles. Say not "Trinity" : desist: it will be better for you: for Allah is one Allah. Glory be to Him: (far exalted is He) above having a son. To Him belong all things in the heavens and on earth. And enough is Allah as a Disposer of affairs.

Thats simple dear. We don't believe the Bible is correct. We believe it has been distorted.
The Quran say
[‘Eesa (Jesus) said]: ‘And verily, Allaah is my Lord and your Lord. So worship Him (Alone). That is the Straight Path. (Allaah’s religion of Islâmic Monotheism which He did ordain for all of His Prophets).’
Then the sects differed [i.e. the Christians about ‘Eesa (Jesus)], so woe unto the disbelievers [those who gave false witness by saying that ‘Eesa (Jesus) is the son of Allaah] from the Meeting of a great Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection, when they will be thrown in the blazing Fire)”[Maryam 19:34-38]
Thanks for your question

it is beyond logic tat one can have a love-hate relationship regarding jesus issue.. even further beyond logic is the origin of islamic scripture by muhammad.. A non-jew, arabic-speaking prophet, an 'illiterate' pagan, suddenly been enlightened, accusing jews/Christians of altering torah/bible, came out with a revised version of the scripture, not the original script., naming god as allah, not Yahweh, not recognising the status of jesus, ... Jesus being a jew was rejected by the jewish community as the messiah, wat more if an arab claimed to know the truth who had no link with torah/bible traditionally in history.. Let us all go back to the basic in religion ...... .

You're quoting from the bible. Which is, of course, not the holy book of Islam. I'm sure Muslims can quote the Koran plenty to set you straight.

Jesus never said any of those words. These are all cooked by Christians clergies to make fool of western people. You don't have original words of Jesus to convince us. We Muslims have Quran the original words of God revealed to Prophet Mohammad. You have nothing to compare Quran.
God says in Quran that Jesus is Prophet and true servant of God. So we can't believe any thing different that you guys try to make us believe. This can not happen Miss Peapie.

It is not a correct statement - could not be correct.
