I've just made a batch of hard crack candy, but now have a sticky hard mess at the bottom of my pot. Tips and tricks on removal?

Just soak in water. It will melt. Hot works fastest.

That's the coolest thing about that kind of candy--hot water melts it off everything in minutes.

Let the candy dry and then wipe it up with a paper towel

either freeze your pot and gently pound the pot to break off the candy or boil it on the stove with a couple cups water and 2 Tbs. vinegar.

Use the coldest water you can find...it will release the candy from the pot!!!
