My husband is allergic to honey. Can I replace the honey in a recipe with Karo syrup?

Well, depending on where you live, I think maple syrup would be a wonderful substitute. But if you don't live in northern North America is might be way too expensive. It also might be available in Europe, but I'm not sure. Karo would be OK sometimes, but it also is rather unhealthful. A mix of sugar and water would be good-- especially darker sugar such as brown or raw would provide a richer taste more similar to honey.

Honey has a distinctive flavor. You have several alternatives. Which one you use may vary depending on what you want to happen to the flavor.

1) maple syrup
2) a blend of white and dark Karo syrup.
3) a simple syrup water:sugar 1:1

Depends upon what the recipe is, but probably, yes. If the honey is an accent, like on blue cheese and pear salad, then you may want to use something like maple syrup.

I would pick Hughes in this one. Karo is an amazing fighter, but look what Diego did to him... Karo is great against strikers, but against other grapplers he seems to struggle. He also has 2 straight losses to Sean Sherk, one decision and one TKO, and Sherk's style is very similar to Hughes (Hughes has beaten Sherk by the way). Also remember, Karo does not have any KO wins, all of his wins have come by submission or decision. I don't think he has the power to KO Hughes, and I think Hughes would win if it went to a decision based on his cardio.

Yes, but it may give him diarrhea - Karo syrup is sometimes used for constipation

I agree with the others, it depends on the recipe.

I think it would depend on the recipe. Sometimes it would work, others it wouldn't.
