I'm 19 years old, and planning on going to Chicago in February, but I don't have the money to get there. I don't have a job But I am looking for one and will have one pretty soon, I just don't know if I'll have a job before Febraury so I'd like to get a credit card.

usually a job is the first requirement to obtaining a credit card. You can always lie on your application and hope they dont call to verify your employment (which they probley will not)...but then you have to have a good credit score- and alot of that is based on having established credit worthiness....
So at your age-and without having a job- its hard to get a credit card. If ya do decide to fill out a application and try for one anyway- one of the first places to try is orchard bank- they will give a credit card to almost anyone, but on the down side the limits only start off about $300- and they charge about $100 to activate the card....so your only left with a couple hundred to play with! but at least it will have you on your way to establishing your credit.

Unless you are going to Chicago for college, you will not be approved for any credit cards without a job or credit history. You're best bet is to borrow from your parents.

Too bad you're not in college. They throw credit cards at you when you are registered in a college.
