I wish I could believe in the American democratic system, and I wish I could believe that my vote made a difference, or that my so-called representatives actually represented me. I wish I could believe that the end of war was possible.

I occasionally wish that I could let go of my logic and reason and just believe some faith without analyzing it to pieces. That way, I could stop my endless searching and just get on with my life.
I can't deny the fact that I was more content when I was Christian and didn't question things than I am now, having seen the flaws in Christianity. I can't let go of logic and reason, so I couldn't become Christian again, or any other faith, even if I wanted to.
But tis not my nature. Seems my fate is to endlessly search and never truly find the answers.

Not really. If I cannot believe in it, that means that there is no evidence for it, so it would be nothing worth wanting to believe in any way. I don't need to fool myself to make myself feel better about life. I am more honest with myself than that.

i wish i could believe that everything in the world was jolly- that ppl had good intentions and that all of ur "friends" really were your friends... i wish i could trust ppl more because then i would feel better about life, others, and myself, but i frankly cannot because ppl i know as well as myself have had our trust betrayed, and trying to regain it is kind of hard- its also necessary to move on...
i also wish i could believe everything would be all right- with life and all- but its so hard to tell these days

Sometimes i wish I could believe in God. It sure would make my life here in the deep south a lot easier.

I wish I could believe that all would go to Heaven but Instead I have to believe the Bible when it says that Hell enlarges herself because so many CHOOSE to go there. So sad!
