I believe in God and I believe that he does answer prayers, I just don't understand why he doesn't answer my prayers. I have been praying for months now and don't seem to get an answer. I have faith that god will answer my prayers. Has anyone had their prayers answered? How do you pray? Is there a certain way to pray to god? I am praying that my marriage will be saved. My children pray every night as well. Just want to get other peoples thoughts on praying. When do you know that you have your answer to your pray? How do you know?

My dear Friend, In responce to Our Prayers, You must know that God is always there Listening to Your Heart and hearing every Prayer. We want our Petitions Fulfilled, so it is very important to understand God's Conditions for answered Prayer. Besides Having a Relationship With Him (John 3:3) and confessing all known Sin, We must Have Faith that His word Is True and His Promises reliable. His Promises are based on His Perfect Character, And you Can be certain He will do All Things He Says! Otherwise, He would Not be God. He Tells Us To always Pray "In Jesus' Name". Also when we Pray, "Believe and we will receive"...But we Need to Tell God " I Know you Hear my Prayers even If I don't see the answer right away." The answer Is always On The way!! YOU will KNOW God answered YOUR Prayers. God Bless You. Jeremiah 33:3

God does things according to His will. Also, He answers in His time and in His way. We are not given license to understand why or how He does anything. The fact that God created marriage and your marriage is something you aand your children are praying to succeed, I'm sure God is working behind the scene.

When my marriage was rocky, I thought God was ignoring my prayers. But, He wasn't. I was permitted to witness my husband's transformation. I'm sorry to say I also lost him shortly after this miraculous change. I don't fully understand why God would do this (change him then take him away), but there is speculation that God took him before he could change his mind :)

Thank God, He also sometimes does not answer prayers. If it is something that isn't what God wants us to have, our prayers will go unanswered. This is a good thing, because we don't know what is good for us, truthfully. We think we know, but then when we get it...everything goes crazy. Likewise, we need to thank God for answering those unprayed prayers...you know, those prayers that you think are so trivial or far-fetched that you think about it, but don't ask. This is the category where most of my blessings come into play. I don't know how many times God has come through when it looked like nothing was going to help.

I'll pray for your marriage and if it is God's will, your husband will have a change of heart. Just remember, if God has deemed to move elsewhere in your life, be prepared to listen and act on His direction. Sometimes it is hard, but we all sing praises when we see how He moves mountains!

God always moves, maybe not the way that we want, but he always moves the way that is beneficial for us if we put our trust in Him. God can heal and restore marriages and any situation that falls apart.

When you pray, God builds your character, give you insights and directions, strengthen your faith, encourage and inspire you, adjust your attitude etc. ... the way that you need in order that you deal with the situation.

God is not passive but he is working in a way that you may not understand sometimes ... he's doing something and you need to apply the biblical principle: Wait on the Lord.

If you don't see immediate results that's doesn't mean that God doesn't care. It may be a short or a long process depending on what God wants to do in you that will bring the necessary change in the outside.

Don't get discouraged! persevere in your prayers with an attitude of faith and be attentive to what God is telling you during the process ...Ask God for wisdom (insights for this particular situation), he will give it to you according to James 1:5 and be diligent to apply every little thing the way that he asks you to do... then, you will see the change in your life ...

Don't be discouraged! We all are fighting for a particular thing in our life and God will not deceive any of us if we put our trust in Him.

the best way to pray to God is with a humble heart and that sounds like what you are doing. there may be many reasons why God has not answered your prayer, perhaps it is not his will, perhaps someone else is praying that the marriage end and that you both move on, perhaps God is waiting to see action on the parts of you and your spouse to work this issue out. to quote that old Garth Brooks song, "just because he may not answer doesn't mean he don't care...some of God's greatest gifts are unanswered prayer," continue to pray but be open to greater blessings to be bestowed upon you.

Do you read the Bible? It tells us that we don't get what we want for a few reasons; it's not in God's timing yet, it's not in His plan, you aren't ready yet, it's test of patience or you have something that needs to be confessed and forgiven (sin).

Also, it is specific to men when it says; if you don't treat your wife well, your prayers will not be answered.

There is no formula for praying, it is talking to God and telling Him how you are feeling, asking Him what He wants you to do and that He will change your heart to whatever is in your future. It is asking for His will, not yours. This is not a wish list type of thing, it is a serious one on one with your Heavenly Father, a relationship.

"Nothing Fails Like Prayer

A snowbound man whose pickup was stuck in the Klamath Mountains put his faith in God and slowly starved to death, while clear pavement leading him to safety was just around the corner. Teenagers found the body of DeWitt Finley last May, along with numerous religious letters. One read:

"I have no control over my life its all in His Hands. 'His will be done.' Death here in another month or so, or he sends someone to save me."

The former fundraiser for World Vision was snowbound on Nov. 14 and checked off his calendar through Jan. 19, writing "The most wonderfull thing out of this ordeal has been the never ending fellowship with the Lord."

Associated Press reported there was no sign he ever left his truck. Depending on the weather, locals say, he would only have had a few yards or a few miles to walk before reaching clear pavement."

First God won't answer those who are living in sin. Meaning if you are a sinner and have not repented of it. It puts up a barrier between you and him. Once you acknowlege it to him and repent of it (turning from it) and doing right then ask for forgiveness and for Jesus to cleanse you from it and start following him. You will then have a relationship with him that starts brand new a clean slate. Then you can go before him and ask thiings of him but God is not a Genie. He isn't there to just do your bidding. We are to do His will for our lives a selfless life doing those things he asks us to do each day and moment . The christian life is not easy. It's kind of hard.

God has a plan, maybe your prayer isn't meant to be in the end. I pray everyday giving thanks and asking for things that the Holy Spirit can give me like strength, serenity, and acceptance. That way I can follow God's plan by using the blessings he bestows upon me. Give thanks to the Lord and ask for his guidance and serenity in yourself. And I'll pray for you and your family too. :) I'm only sixteen though, so maybe you should ask your pastor for his advice also. xoxo

You should not pray for God to save your marriage, you should pray that God's will be done.
