Or do you think life, or luck, the universe, god, fate, or whatever you believe in, gives you several people to choose from all of which you're equally compatible with, and his/her and your maturity, circumstances, luck, etc, determine THE ONE you end/ended up with?

You can have all the orgies you want while you're single, you know, if that's your thing.

I doubt it. Think of the chances of finding one person. I think there are people with whom you fit very well, and I think there can be literally millions of them.

I don't believe that for a moment.
I believe there are thousands of women out there that I'd be equally compatible with as I am with my wife. Some of them might have been former girlfriends, or women that I dismissed out of hand as being suitable.
I don't feel there's anything mystical about love and I'm pretty sure it can happen to a lot of people out there.

No. Mate selection is settling process, in which you try to find the person that has the most in common with the ideal that you have in your head. The biological clock and aging process enforce a time limit for selection. Some people make good selections and some people make crappy ones.

No. I believe we work hard to make relationships work. I've been in mine for over 12 years, so I know. If there is fate in it, it's 10% fate, and 90% work.

Delta z needs a lesson...
I have a cousin who believed in procreating without commitment.
Paid for it with child support for six kids.
NOTE" Travis Henry (denver broncos) 9 kids from 9 different mothers. makes for a dandy household.
I am with the one I will gladly live the rest of my life with.
That is the one God choose for me and vice versa.

Yes I believe that. I knew from the second I met my husband that we were meant to be together forever. I believe God sends certain people into your life and they are to be in your life for specific purposes.

Only one? NO. Of course not. What happens if you never meet your 'one'?
A person is compatible with many other people in the world.

Life gives you several people to choose from. Our ultimate goal is to reproduce. Love is an emotion to ensure that will occur.

There is ONLY ONE person that you should be with.
-You cannot lead the life of a prostitute.
You do know that if you lay with another that you become one with that person? You and that person are made of one flesh.
Genesis 2:24
For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh.
Mark 10:8
and the two will become one flesh.' So they are no longer two, but one.
1 Corinthians 6:16
Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? For it is said, "The two will become one flesh."
1 Corinthians 6 - Sexual Immorality (NIV) Bible
12"Everything is permissible for me"—but not everything is beneficial. "Everything is permissible for me"—but I will not be mastered by anything. 13"Food for the stomach and the stomach for food"—but God will destroy them both. The body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. 14By his power God raised the Lord from the dead, and he will raise us also. 15Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ himself? Shall I then take the members of Christ and unite them with a prostitute? Never! 16Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? For it is said, "The two will become one flesh."[b] 17But he who unites himself with the Lord is one with him in spirit.
18Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body. 19Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.
1 Corinthians 6 (NIV) Bible
9Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders 10nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.
